This kit was designed by Pick Punch LLC. We have years of experience making tools and supplying materials for making guitar picks. We should because we are the ones that invented the very first hand held pick punch tool. Supplying guitar players with the highest quality pick making tools and materials are what we do. If it has been tried we probably know how to do it or we probably have done it ourselves. This experience has led to this simple starter kit. Includes our original 351 Shape guitar pick punch direct from the Company that invented it Pick Punch LLC. Like all Pick Punch tools these are super heavy duty with superior front load design. These are not cheap tools. They weigh 1.3 pounds each! This mini kit also includes samples of 7 of our best pick materials (REAL PICK MATERIALS THAT FACTORIES USE) in various thicknesses including white .80mm acetal delrin, yellow .50mm acetal delrin, blue 1.00mm acetal delrin, red .80mm acetal delrin, (WE ARE TEMPORARILY OUT OF GREEN SO WE WILL SUBSTITUTE) green .65 acetal delrin, and .80 clear polycarbonate (used to make our special laminated picks with images inside). Also included is one of our guitar pick holders that will hold up to 6 or 8 picks depending on their thickness. This holder features a self adhesive backing to attach to your guitar or other places to keep picks handy when playing. Our specially designed 4 stage sanding block feature rough, medium, light, and buffing sides. The end of our sanding blocks can also be used to make a hand drawn custom stamp. Also included is an instruction packet and more information about where to go to get all kinds of pictures and videos on how to make picks from all kinds of materials and customize them in various ways.

Great Gift for a Guitar Player
My father plays the guitar which means he is always looking for a pick. I got him this for Christmas, and he loves it. You put the card in the slot at the bottom of the puncher, make sure you can see the park of the card you want as the design in the cutout. Then push down on the lever. It is not hard to push down, I would compare it to stapling 30 pieces of paper together. Then just take the filer, which looks like the four sided nail files and sand off the sharp edges. BOOM! You have a new pick! It was cool we even used it on an old license and the picture was on the pick. The whole process take maybe 30 second and then you can be playing your guitar. It is awesome. This set is nice because it even comes with some plastic cards that you can use to make picks, some other products like this one did not come with these cards.

was a super fun hit at 2 b-day parties
got as a gift for my adult son -- he was completely thrilled with it.. at the party he started making picks for everyone.. we all took a turn with it.. we had some cheap plastic plates we used - one nephew had some used up gift cards from the holidays- it cut cleanly and smoothly. had a good return up after cutting. my son had another party the next nite with his buddies and they all had fun with it.. so it was a hit.. he said it will save him money - he loses his picks a lot or his buddies end up with them.. I really can not think of any cons... the accessories that came with it are quite adequate..

Great gift! Successful guitarist raved about it
Gift for my brother-in-law who is a successful touring guitarist for a famous singer. I wondered if he would think it was silly and more "cute" than useful, but he said "this is the best thing ever!" He said he loses his picks constantly and the other band members are always giving him a hard time about it. He loved that he could use it to make tons of picks out of all their plastic hotel key cards that otherwise just go in the trash. I was so happy! He REALLY went on and on about it. Great success.😎

This is an excellent gift!
I got this for my 17 year old who is just starting to play the guitar. She absolutely loves it! She has made over 50 picks and she's only had it a few days. She made picks out of all the plastic sheets it came with and has moved on to making picks out of used gift cards. Some cashiers have even given her used up ones from the register. My husband, who has been playing guitar for years, is quite jealous that he didn't get one but our daughter has promised to make picks for him too.

Cool kit
I thought this was the coolest thing ever, and it is. I purchased this and cut picks out if everything. You never run out of picks because you can use credit cards, hotel keys, any type of plastic.The sanding block is a must to sand the edges, some of the picks come out not so smooth but the sanding block helps.

Worth The Investment
My son loves to play his electric guitars and his acoustic/electric guitar... the problem was he was always losing his pick. This has definitely solved his issue. Now he has so many picks he can never complain that he can't find one. :) Even his friends come over and use this and make picks out of old store cards and such things. It was definitely worth the investment.

Unique quality gift
This was an excellent unique gift for my 19 year old son. Very sturdy, cuts vinyl, credit cards, hotel keys very smoothly. A sanding block was included but we did not need to use it on the pics we made, they turned out smoothly. A nice variety of vinyl was included for your choice of pic size. I would definitely recommend this as a gift for any guitar enthusiast.

Great for the Absent-Minded Musician
Bought this for my rockstar brother-in-law for Christmas. He's famous for losing his picks. He opened it up and started using the Pick Punch on the spot. He said it was great invention and gift. I continue to pass along my old hotel card keys and empty gift cards to him to keep a good stack of pick materials available to him. In just six months, there's no doubt this gift has already paid for itself.
