Twayne is totally obsessed with this weird little plant and even sucks on the tentacles. Think he's sucked off a bit of paint but am not worried - it is supposedly non-toxic and made from a very soft silicone which is great for frilly, fragile finned betta. I like that is waves about gently in the (weak) filter current and looks very bright and colorful under the LEDs at night. I like to change up the fishes tank decor often (as well as rearrange little items outside their tanks) to keep them occupied but I think this will have to remain in the tank until it wears apart or Twayne is liable to sink into the depths of despair. He's always rubbing or leaning against it - and even flips himself around and upside down whilst playing around it. Definitely a keeper since it makes him so happy. =)

These looked great in my tank for the first month or two. Just like any other decor in your tank you have to clean it from time to time, otherwise algae will build up and get really nasty. The reason I gave this 3/5 stars is because after about 2 months it becomes very difficult to clean (even if you clean it biweekly). Algae builds up in the small crevices and is impossible to remove leaving a permanent stain. Aside from that, it looks really good the first couple of months.

I got this for my 5 gallon top fin betta tank. It’s super soft so no chance of fin ripping. It looks great in regular white LED light and in blue light. My tank is about 14 inches high and i have about 2.5 inches of sand. I’m planning on hiding the base in the sand when I do the next water change but since I have black sand it looks good either way. Planning on getting one more for the other corner so balance it out. My betta nipped on the green ends in the beginning but soon realized it’s not food and since then made a bubble nest above it so he seems to like it but I’m not fluent in fish so I could be wrong. Great overall look though! My goal was to make it somewhat look like a salt water bio cube with coral looking decor without looking tacky. 10/10 would recommend.

I've purchased this item twice now. I had to replace the 1st one, not because of product failure, but a friend watching my betta fish, did not know how to clean the tank, and this piece just got too loaded with algae and I could not really get it back to its former beauty. It is a good height to be able to use smaller pieces. It is all silicone with no sharp edges so to injure fins. and it looks beautiful under a white or blue light.

I like it a lot but the glow in the dark is overrated. All lights around it have to be off to get the effect, like any glow in the dark item. How often will you be in complete darkness to see the effect. Cute though and i like the softness so it doesn't hurt my fishies fins.

THE WEIGHT AT THE BOTTOM IS THE BEST PART...UNFORTUNATELY THE STEMS ARE TOO WEAK, IT DOESN'T STAY UPRIGHT AT ALL, REGARDLESS OF POSITION I PUT IT IN. CALM WATER OR FLOWING WATER IN FRONT OF MY POWERHEADS, IT JUST LEANS OVER AND LOOKS UNNATURAL, REALLY BUMMED.

Very cool accent in the fish tank. Love how it works under the black light.
