Noticeable improvement in our elderly dog
Fantastic product. We give to our elderly husky for joint pain and to our puppy for joint health. All the dogs eat it. Noticeable difference in our older pups.

Works like magic.
My dog (90lbs, Chocolate Lab) is now almost 13 years old. He's still a puppy at heart, but since he was about 10 I noticed he started having a lot of trouble getting up after laying down for a while (to the point where he gave up trying after a couple tries), and could no longer sit. I gave him supplements for joint health that you can buy from the store, but a 3 week supply (for him) costs about $50 and didn't work amazingly. Vet recommended green mussel powder, so I did. This brand seemed to have the best reviews, so I ordered it. I noticed some people mention "I just sprinkle it on their food". To them I say, how?! This stuff smells TERRIBLE, and my dog wouldn't touch it if he was dying of starvation. Luckily, I'm smart, so I ordered empty gel capsules and filled them with the green mussel powder. 2 a day, cover them with some peanut butter, my dog doesn't know he's eating nasty tasting powder. Anyway... the point is, the powder works like magic. Within a week or two of using it, his mobility was greatly improved. He's able to lay down and get up much easier now (as well as get up and down stairs). In addition, he has a few fatty growths on a few places on his body (vet says they're benign fat, nothing to worry about). But after a few months of using this powder, they dramatically shrank in size! I give my dog 2 capsules per day (500mg each) and one pouch lasts us about 6 weeks. I'd pay anything to keep him moving and feeling good, but $25 every 6 weeks is much cheaper than the $50 I was paying every 3. And the green mussel powder is much more effective. I'll be buying/using this product until my dog is ready to move on... and if I ever have another dog, I'll be sure to give them this as well.

This powder cured my dog’s severe skin allergies
This is truly a miracle product. My dog who is a pitbull lab mix was literally allergic to every protein on the planet. He was allergy tested and had food sensitivities to all proteins. His skin would break out in horrible bloody crusts resulting in severe hair loss and he licked his paws incessantly. He also had chronic yeast infections around his eyes due to his allergic responses. I tried every elimination diet in the book and nothing ever worked. Needless to say he was always very uncomfortable and a generally unhappy boy. Then I got this powder. I put two rounded scoops on his food every night and within a week his allergic responses had completely disappeared. He now has a healthy and full coat of hair, no skin crusts, and no itchy paws or yeast infections around his eyes. I can’t say enough good things about this for treating dogs with food allergies. It truly is an incredible substance. If your dog has food allergies you must try it. I promise it will work and will save you and your doggy a lot of pain and suffering. I have told virtually everyone I know about it even people who work in holistic health. A friend of mine who is a holistic dietary practitioner thinks that it might work for leaky gut syndrome in humans and has started prescribing it to her patients with food intolerances with great results. The human (oil) version is extremely expensive so she just prescribes this powder and it apparently works like a charm. This substance should be far more widely known than it is!

So far so good
Ive purchased this 4-5 times and its annoying that the price is now at 43$ for the same amount, especially when it was 25-29$ not a few months ago. I guess prices in the entire world go up including some dehydrated mussels. It doesnt have an smell, or at least the 4 bags Ive purchased over the last year havent. A bag lasts me approx 3 months and thats given one scoop a day to 2-3 dogs. I dont SEE a marked difference, as none have joint issues - one broke her leg and I add it to help with inflammatory issues with the plate in her leg, the other is a puppy who I am trying to make sure her joints are fine, and the other is a older dog who doesnt act like hes 9 - but GSD's typically dont know when theyre older! I do pour it out into a glass mason jar, one of those tiny ones instead of keeping it in the packages as the packages suck. When you get low you gotta scoop and get the powder all over your hands or spill and its just a waste, especially now at these redic prices. All over 4 out of 5 stars. 4 stars for packaging and for the price. I gotta see if I can find this somewhere else cheaper, but it does work as a good supplement. I wouldnt use it as your ONLY supplement if you have an dog who has arthritis, but it will work great along side one.

THIS STUFF WORKS
My dog is thirteen years old. She had a hip injury several years ago, with accompanying inflammation, and has been on Rimadyl ever since (supposedly as "safe" as a NSAID). She started having worsening digestive tract issues, as well as elevated kidney numbers, and when I researched her symptoms, I decided to ween her off Rimadyl. She has had a baseline of daily glucosamine supplement to keep her joints supple, but I was concerned about unchecked inflammation, so started her on this product. Within less than a few days, I noticed a difference. And now, about two months later, she is literally running and jumping like a puppy. it is truly amazing! I give her the required dose in her food every day, and she seems to enjoy the flavor. I am so happy I took a chance on this product, and simultaneously got her off the pharmaceutical. ALL of her digestive issues have cleared up, she's willingly eating two meals a day now (a miracle), and she's not vomiting all the time. And her CBC last week shows her kidney numbers have now normalized. What else can I say?

Excellent Boost of Nutrients
First, I agree with other reviews on the packaging - it's poorly designed. I added mine to a small baggie and still have a mess. However, it's a wonderful product to add a healthy boost to dogs health. I buy both large clams and the small ones for treats. I was thrilled to see this powder. My dog has a lipoma on her chest and I need to get lots of tintures into her. I start with a small amount of organic coconut oil, add tintures and disguse taste further with the yummy smell and taste of clams. I have not seen any improvement in arthritis pain but I purchased for nutritional boost. I also needed a way to hide smell of turmeric and ginger which I use for her pain.

Wish I could say it was worth it....
I have an 8yr old Doberman that suffers from, well...getting older. Has arthritis issues with his back legs. I had him on mobility chews but wanted to try something different that still had the same benefits for inflammation. He’s raw fed and I just sprinkle it on his breakfast. He isn’t a very picky eater, but he did not care for this.... it has a very strong odor (I mean, it’s mussels). The packaging isn’t great. It does come with a scooper. It’s a very fine powder, so it’s hard not to get it on your fingers... I tried it for 3 weeks and saw zero improvement. I guess I was hoping for a better outcome than the mobility chews. Instead, he seemed to decline. Maybe I should’ve incorporated an additional supplements? I don’t know, but I didn’t finish the bag... I ended up putting him back on mobility chews. This product just didn’t work for him. If you’re taking the time to read the reviews, then you’re obviously looking for a change or doing your research for a new product of sorts. If you want to try it, then try it. It has quality ingredients, and you may have a better result. I wish I could say it has amazing results, just didn’t for us. Good luck!
