OTTERBOX DEFENDER SERIES Case for LG G3 - Frustration FRĒe Packaging - Papaya (White/Peony Pink)

Love, love, love this LG G3 Otterbox case! I have owned a pink/gray Otterbox Defender Series case for my old iPhone 4S, and this new case is even better... MOSTLY due to the newer plastic/rubber material. The older cases had a rubberized outer covering that while nice on the hands and very good for non-slippage on smooth surfaces (like a dashboard, let's say,) had stretching-out problems and I had to send it in after about a year for a new replacement case due to that issue. THIS new case I could tell from first touch is different! The rubber material is MUCH harder than the old cases, but still maintains that soft-to-the touch feel. It's really nice to hold. But stick the edge of your nail into it, and you can tell it's harder and will certainly keep it's shape. I've now had this for several weeks, and the main flip port I use several times daily -- the charge port -- is still tight at the hinge and closes up just as snug as new when closed. One last thing, about the screen cover: Unlike others who have mentioned problems swiping through their screen protector, I have found absolutely zero problems with swiping/clicking/maneuvering on the screen through the case cover. I will, however, pull it off at some point -- as I did the one on my old iPhone -- and then have a crystal-clear screen again, as I only use this case for drop-protection and have never really needed it for screen scratches, etc. (because of the raised bevelled edge, even with a drop to the ground, the screen is very well protected.)

I have to admit I was a little worried seeing some of the reviews about the screen protector not being flush with the phone. Then I got mine, and sure enough, it rippled across the middle and I was having a lot of trouble clicking things. BUT I took it off and put it back on again, and apparently one of the clips wasn't completely clicked and it was holding part of one side up just a tiny bit, causing a gap and ripple effect across the middle of the screen. I love the case, now. :-) Aside from the difficulty in putting it on (and avoiding the gap) it's perfect ... and the putting on difficulty is pretty limited. I love the color, I love how it feels in my hand, and most of all, I love that my meddlesome cats can knock it off the nightstand while I sleep and I don't have to panic when I wake up - terrified to look at the screen. (They've already broke two phones and a tablet! ... My mistake downloading "games for cats," I guess.) Now my son wants one for his G3 he'll be getting when he returns from boot camp, and I tearfully wish they made one for my GPad.Also, if you're having trouble getting to the edge of the screen, try taking it off and putting it back on. Same problem. Plus, the "condition report" said some minor cosmetic damage - but I can't find it. :-) It's beautiful.

This case is double layered, durable for my 1 year old son. The case fits perfectly snug with the phone. There's plugs to cover holes to keep dust out. Phone calls are equally as clear with or without the case.Cons: The frame around the screen is so close and is so deep that reaching the characters on the keyboard closest to the edge took some getting used to. Same problem in the back, the bevels around the up and down button were so deep it makes pressing them harder to reach single handed. The belt clip was useless for me. It makes it stick so far out! I was worried I'd bang it against something. Not flattering for a woman's figure in my opinion. For my personal use the port covers (dust protectors) are an inconvience, when my phone is close to dying and I have my son on my hip it can become complicated and irritating to try prying open the cover one-handed. Also it makes my phone about a quarter inch wider and taller, making one-handed operation nearly impossible on an already large, 5.5" phone and I could barely fit it in the back pocket of my jeans (forget front pockets!) When I received the case it was in a beautiful pink and white color which I loved because my phone is white but the very first time I put the phone in my jeans pocket the pink turned blue from the denim... A problem I've never experienced before with other cases.But the biggest con of all is the consistent overheating. I had to remove the attached screen protector to allow the phone to breath so I wouldn't get overheating warnings from my phone, and further yet I sometimes have to remove the entire case to charge the phone without causing damage. I'm replacing this case with a different Otter box hopefully it fixes the problem.I never tested to see if the phones remote still worked with the case on but I assume it would considering everything else still functioned.

I have been using this for about two months and it is great. I loved getting good protection for my phone without having to pay the price they were asking in the store. It looks cute, but isn't too young looking for me, and it is very sturdy and does not attract lint or dirt. When it does get a little dirty, I simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth. It was a little hard to figure out how to assemble it, but I chalk that up to my own lack of experience with this type of cover. I feel confident that my phone is pretty well protected from most of the damage that I could inflict on it, and for the price I paid that is all I am asking. I would recommend this to my sister or friend, if looking for this type product. It shipped very quickly and I was glad to get my phone protected without delay.

Many of the reviews made me not want to purchase but after the priced dropped I had to have it! lots of reviews claim that the built-in cover was an issue.... well I am unsure of what happened to them but all I can say is LOVE it, LOVE it, LOVE it!!!! The built-in screen protector is no problem I can still use the phone, it's sturdy and not too bulky and looks great! I can even utilize the cradle on my work pants for extra stability! and simply looks great and easy to handle!F.Y.I. this case makes the phone slightly larger but so what I posted pics of what the Otter Defender has to offer versus my first phone case and if you can afford it, the Otter brand is truly worth it! It is so good and the built-in screen protector is just great!

Great protection. Bulky but I'm sure my phone has the best protection with this defender. I will never use the clip part. Way too huge and bulky. I also removed the screen protector part. Took away too much sensitivity of my phone screen. I purchased Inskin screen protector instead. Happy with my purchase. I highly recommend the OtterBox Defender.
