I’m 5ft and stay between 170 and 190. The 16 petite is good for going out, but when I’m just hanging around the house, I like 18 petite.

Q: What’s the difference between 16, and 16 petite?

The difference is the length. 16 petite in shorter than 16. At 5'4'" I purchased the petite because of no major over hang. Length is perfect with flats, boot or a small heel.

Q: What is a "lerner leg opening"

You misread the description. It didn't say "Lerner" it said "leaner" leg opening, which means it's a bit tapered not as wide at the bottom.

Q: Are they long enough with flat shoes?

I am 5'4" and they are actually too long, even with a 1" wedge shoe. I am going to have to shorten them by at least an inch. They seem to run a little large also. I weigh 145 pounds and bought a size 10.
