OROROHeated Hoodie with Battery Pack (Unisex)

I bought this hoodie for sort of an out of the box reason - as a woman who is approaching a certain age, I wanted what I viewed as basically a wearable heating pad for the aches and discomfort that are getting progressively worse during hormone fluctuations. I hesitated on spending this much money on something that I thought was going to be for once in awhile use, but I am SO GLAD I bit the bullet and bought this thing. I'm also a hockey mom, and today in an ice cold rink, my toes were the only things that felt truly cold. I also own a Jeep Wrangler and this hoodie has just extended top down riding season into November. I read a million reviews before I chose this hoodie to purchase and one of them in particular that outlined the truly top notch quality of this hoodie was a large part of my decision making process, so I wanted to share my own extensive feedback.I'll start with quality, because that is what has truly knocked my socks off about this hoodie. It is a very heavyweight, nice feeling outer material, and lined with fleece throughout the whole sweatshirt. Fleece is in the sleeves. Fleece is in the hood. Fleece is in the pockets. The combination makes for a very solid fitting, super cozy sweatshirt. But despite fleece everywhere and a heavy duty outer material, the hoodie is surprisingly not too much to wear indoors. The construction is also top notch. The wrists are quite fitted and the hood is very generous - you are not going to be pulling at it or constantly repositioning it. This sweatshirt is an amazing pick even if you don't consider the heating elements.But it does have heating elements, and they are amazing too. I felt the back panel just one minute after turning it on. It heats up very quickly and while it kept me warm enough to exist comfortably in a rink so cold I could see my breath, it never became uncomfortably hot, even on the ride home. The positioning of the heating elements in this hoodie are exactly what I wanted for the chest and back comfort I was looking for when I first bought it. The battery pack sits in an inside zippered compartment behind the left hand pocket, and it is a tad bulky at first but I got used to it pretty quickly. If this hoodie was very fitted on my midsection though, I'd think the outline of the batter pack would have been visible. That might be a consideration for you depending on your body composition or how fitted you want this sweatshirt to be.As for sizing, I am 5'1", 135lbs and 36D. I typically wear a size S in most tops and size M in most sweatshirts or outer layers, but I went with the size S in this hoodie based on feedback in the reviews, and that ended up being the right size for me. I have room to wear a fleece Cuddl Duds layer under this if I'm prepping for really cold conditions, but it's fitted enough that I can fit it under my heavy duty winter parka. Size S fits on me in such a way that it's loose enough to give that comfortable sweatshirt feel but fitted enough that the heating elements feel good and I remain aware of them while I'm wearing the sweatshirt.Lots of people mention the light up emblem on the left breast as a negative, but I think it's kind of cool. It is really small and not visibly lit up at all in bright light (sunlight or fluorescents). It's also a super convenient place for the power button.Long story short, buy this hoodie. It is super, super high quality and not only will it slay at whatever use you already have in mind for it, you will also find other uses for it once you wear it and fall in love with it.

I really like this heated sweatshirt…it fits really nicely, looks good and is super comfortable. It is fleece lined on the inside and is really warm even without the heat going. It is a little bit bulkier than I was expecting, so keep that in mind when purchasing.One thing I really like about this is the company, Ororo. I originally bought a medium and it was just a little bit too big for me. I went through Amazon customer service to get an exchange and they said they could not do it. I then reached out to the company directly and they were more than happy to help. They were prompt, really friendly and helped me get the exchange pretty quickly. I would definitely order from this company again.

The first one I ordered was huge, had to do a return but once I got the correct size I was sold. Perfect for keeping me from freezing when I take the dog out for walks on chilly nights. It looks like a regular hoodie, only real con is the bright light from the power button, but I cover that with a scarf when I go out at night.The battery pack is a little bulky which I thought was annoying at first but I got used to it quickly. Interior is very soft and the three heat settings are perfect- I use the highest setting when I'm outside in the cold, while medium and low are great if I'm just trying to be cozy in the house. Just remember it runs a bit big and you do have to remember to charge it every few days depending on how often you use it. Great product for anyone who wants to stay warm!

Positives: heavy-duty quality sweatshirt with useful interior pockets (one for the battery); YKK zippers, generous hood and external pockets, smallish quality battery, well packaged, core stays warm with three settings, easy operation.Negatives: low neckline on sweatshirt means neck is exposed to cold/wind; cut of sweatshirt is very baggy; back heat more pronounced than chest heat, battery life seems okay but not stellar with intermittent use throughout the day.I bought this mainly for late night talk dog walking in the winter. As it is a hoodie, it offers little wind resistance so I use it as a mid-layer for anything below 40F. At freezing with a unlined wool jacket over it, I am very comfortable and can use at the lower two heat settings.If you are in a cool indoor environment, the hoodie is 5 stars as wind is usually not an issue. And the core heating plus heavy sweatshirt material itself means you will probably be fine on the lower settings even in the coldest and dampest of homes. One place it would be very, very useful is a typical overcooled airplane cabin but I have heard anecdotally that electric jackets can get undue attention from TSA at screening. And I don’t want an overeager agent confiscating my hoodie.Regarding fit, I am 5’11” and 160lbs and bought a Medium. But it’s a baggy fit and I wonder if a Small wouldn’t have been better so there was less space between the heating elements and my body. Not enough of an issue to return.If a model came out with a higher neck and a heating in the arms, it would be a formidable winter garment and I might consider paying full MSRP for it. Having said that, I think this hoodie was a good first buy over a jacket as it can be used in conjunction with your existing winter coats rather than a replacement. And if the battery goes flat, it is still a warm mid-layer.

Sweater is comfortable, cozy and WARM! A couple of loose threads on it... but meh, scissors exist for that.A small size is a rather large very loose fit on a small-framed slim female - but that works fine in this case as it can be worn over layers (yay, more warmth!) BUT with that said - it's not exactly a super nice looking fit though if that's what your goal is, given it's quite large & loose here... but, look, if you're cold and you want a warm back to then get warmed up, it's worth it. (I wouldn't want a super fitted heated sweater anyways, but this definitely doesn't look/fit as nicely as other zip up hoodies do... but it sure looks and is comfy and warm!)I waited for it to drop in price a fair bit though as the original price was too pricey for me.I don't know about how it goes for washing it though, haven't gotten to that stage yet.Heated back is what you feel and it's nice. It warms you up.

The hoodie is excellent! Very well made and is toasty warm!

Got this hoodie cause I drive a truck and when I have to do deliveries it's cold out and the walk can be brutal but this hoodie and a long sleeve eliminated the heavy jacket need i did get it a little big tho would of went with a large instead

I love my Ororo hoodie, I've had it since 02/2020 and I ordered 4 more for family members. Im in Canada and I've basically worn it daily for a year. I wash it inside a pillowcase on gentle and hang to dry. The battery pack is still going strong too, I charge it up at night with my cell phone and in the morning Im set to go. The hoodie is lined with fleece throughout but it does not replace a winter coat, but if paired with one you will be SO warm and cozy!! My family and I swear by them.
