Not so much long lasting...but she loves them
I've tried various brands and my sweet 63lb 7 month Cane Corso mix honestly loves them all. These were the first that we tried. She really enjoys them. They don't upset her stomach. Not long lasting for her as she will chew through a new one (XL) as soon as she gets it, so it's an occasional treat for her because it does have salt in it and I notice she is very thirsty after. She chews on her (responsibly sourced) elk antler which IS long lasting when I want her to have a break from the salt. I do like that none of the yak chew goes to waste. She loves the cheese puff I make with the remaining pieces. It's usually a treat for a different day to again break up the salt intake. Eats the puff within a minute and licks the crumbs. Pic is of a brand new XL chew after about 30 min of her getting it 😅 and they are fairly big to start as you can see in the other pic. Also added pic of her elk antler that she's had for a couple months now. Chews it multiple times a day. Sometimes I'll stick the pointy end of the yak chew or her antler in a kong or ball so she can have a good grip on it because I dare not help her hold it when she is chewing. Struggling to hold it or not. I love her but I need my fingers 😭Smell is tolerable. She leaves nothing behind to clean up 😂 She has no destructive chewing habits. These are good for redirecting new pups from your shoes and furniture. May last longer for someone else's pup. One of the times I ordered a smaller size there was one that was broken. I just made a puff out of the small piece and stuck the other end in a ball. Was a little annoyed at first but packaging is an Amazon thing not a Native Pet thing. These shouldn't be put in an envelope with no cushion when it's def going to get thrown around. Will continue to buy ✌️

Brand new and covered in mold
Grabbed 10 xl yak chews for a great price for my two big dogs. They adore yak chews, but let’s face it, they are not cheap. As soon as they arrived I got them off the porch and opened up the box. Both dogs were following me in anticipation, they always follow me, but they knew it was something for them. I was proudly stating, you’re gonna be so happy, girls. To my disappointment I opened the bag and the foul stench of mold hit me in the face. It was a terrible smell that stayed with me for hours. Sure enough there was moisture in the perfectly sealed bag and all 10 chews were covered in mold. This is not my first encounter with Native and mold issues on their yak chews, but it was definitely the worst. I think it’s time to select another brand.

Great chew for our Pooch
I've order this Yak product for our pooch three times already. High quality. She love her Yak bones. Because we let her chew for about 30 seconds at a time, they last for weeks each.

Mold on yak chews
I've been buying these for a long time. And never had any problems. However, this package was totally mold on the yak sticks.

A bit disappointed in our most recent order.
**update 11/15** Native Pet reached out directly and offered a full refund. I appreciate that they took my feedback seriously and took steps to resolve the issue. We love Native Pet and have gotten several other products that our pup not only enjoyed but also all did what they say they do. Native Pet does make high quality goods for pets and we will continue to be customers. I did not enjoy writing my 3 star review but I wanted to make sure that the brand that we love was aware we didn’t get what we were expecting for the first time in over a year of purchasing. I’m upping my review to 4 stars, but please know that these yak chews are seriously amazing if you can ensure you get the right size for your dog!!—Prior review—Before our most recent order I would have given these 5 stars. We have been buying these yak chews since we adopted our rescue girl in July 2022. These are by far the best “bones” we have been able to find since they are fully edible and can transform into crunchy treats when they get to the end of their life, and they do not upset our baby’s tummy. We love these and have the 3 pack on auto ship. However, our most recent order received on 11/9 is a disappointment. We originally bought the medium chews when we first got our dog because she is medium sized and 45-50lbs, but she turned out to be a big chewer. The medium were too small for her and she was able to bite off large chunks and go through them too fast. We switched to the large which have always been thicker and just a little bit longer so she went through them a little slower and couldn’t get as many big chunks off.Our 11/9 order contained what appears to be the same size as the medium chews, which we don’t get anymore for the reasons stated above. I added a photo of what we received next to pieces left from our prior order. You can clearly see the pieces from the prior order are thicker (circled in green). I didn’t spend $28 to get medium sized yak chews. I understand they can all be slightly different sizes even within the same package, and we sometimes get thicker/thinner/darker/lighter chews, but these are just very SMALL compared to the other large chews we’ve received over the past year. It seems strange that I would suddenly need to start purchasing the extra large chews to get the same substantial size as the large ones I was getting before, unless there’s been a change in the product design itself.I really hate leaving negative reviews. I prefer to only leave reviews when I have a great experience because I think it’s important to share those things rather than complain. If I really have an issue, I usually reach out to the seller if I can. In this case, I can’t find a way to contact the seller to ask if there was a change in the product or if this was an error but I guess I can go through an Amazon customer service rep if needed. This product can’t be returned which is typical of food-like items, but I would like to know why this order seems so inconsistent from what we’ve gotten in the past.
