Q: Are these made in the USA?

Thanks for your question. We source our yak chews from Nepal and package them in our Chicago warehouse. At this time, all yak chew products are made in Nepal (including Native Pet), but we take our sourcing very seriously and only partner with suppliers that meet our quality protocol. In addition to our incredible supply partners, we do an additional quality control check in our US-based warehouse to ensure we're maintaining the highest standards for our customers.

Q: Is there a way to soften the chew?

Thanks for reaching out! Yes, you can soften the chew by placing it in a bowl of warm water for 10-15 minutes. Also, when it gets down to a small piece, pop it into the microwave for 30-45 seconds and it'll puff into a crunchy treat! Let me know if you have any other questions! Pat from Native Pet

Q: Are these too big for mini & tween dachshunds?

Nope; not at all …. I buy the container with the large ones for my dachshunds, I have 5 …. They love their yak chews!

Q: I have two australian shepherds a 36 lbs female and a 45 lbs male. what size would you recommend i try?

I purchased the Large for my 70# Lab - don’t let that detour you from selecting this size - there are 3 in the pack; 6.5x1x1.25 - 5.5x1x1.75 - the 3rd one is half eaten. I had a Blue Heeler early in life, I feel could handle these sizes. I only give my pup these when we’re hanging out together so when it gets down to about 2” I take it away, microwave it for 1min on high. Put it aside to cool for the next evening, he has a large Cheeto. Don’t let them get past 2”, they have a tendency to want to swallow it. I always put the partial chewed treat back in it’s original pouch to keep it fresh, I don’t want them to dry out. They won’t be uniform in color or size they also have a smoke scent, all of this is normal and your pups will be very excited. Prefer these to rawhide 100%.
