Pretty, but not a travel book
Bought this ahead of a trip to PEI, because it had won a travel book award. It is gorgeous and I don’t regret buying it at all, but I wouldn’t consider it a travel book. Some of the photos were taken by LMM in the early 1900s, so not what the typical traveler is probably looking for.It is still worth buying though. It’s really lovely.

Exceeded expectations!
I was thrilled to see that the bookbinding is beautiful. I will not be using the sleeve the book arrived in. The pictures are clear and lovely. I wasn’t sure if it’s a book I’d enjoy reading but it’s thoroughly engaging and I’m already halfway through it. I had traveled to PEI and instantly fell in love with it. I cried when I left and this book helps me feel connected to this favorite spot of mine.

I LOVED this book
Thank you Net Galley for a review copy of this book. Catherine Reid's "The Landscapes of Anne of Green Gables" is a well researched and remarkable book. As an enthusiastic and lifelong Anne of Green Gables fan, I LOVED this book! This book has an outstanding sense of place and delves into Montgomery's inspiration she evoked from the landscape of Prince Edward Island, where Anne of Green Gables is set. I have always wanted to visit PEI and the stunning photography in this book fulfilled part of this wish. I enjoyed reading more about LM Montgomery as well as the similarities between her and Anne. I count this book and as a MUST OWN keepsake for fans Anne of Green Gables. I cannot wait to gift it and share it with others!

Pretty pictures
Easy to see pictures, colorful, not as many larger scenes as I'd like.

Wonderful to see the real place settings of the Anne novels
I use this for my “Happy” book. This is the book I keep loaded on my iPad and open up whenever I feel a little down. The images are stunning and the commentary is a great complement to the Anne novels. A great investment. I am sure you will love it.

Beautiful Book!
I loved this book! I love seeing pictures of where Anne and her friends had their adventures. The photographs are beautiful and the author includes Ms. Montgomery’s personal photographs of her special places such as Lover’s Lane. This is a must have book for any true Anne fan. I can’t wait to visit Prince Edward Island in person someday.

A beautiful book with beautiful photos
A beautiful book with beautiful photos. I am a long-time lover of all things LM Montgomery and especially Anne of Green Gables. This book gave lots of insight into the author, LM Montgomery, as well as Anne (with an "e"). I've had the good fortune to have visited PEI two times in my past - but both many years ago. Everything about this book was a delight.
