after trying it, now I am not sure what it is really supposed to do other than recommend an amount of food for my dog's age, breed and weight.. and even then it didnt have our food in its data base.. It does remind you twice a day to feed your pet, if that is an issue, though to be honest, i can set up daily alerts on my iphone to do the same without chewing up memory (no pun intended) with one more app running on my phone.

Can't use on wet food. Only dry.
