I have 3 more books by Donna Hay. As a future food photographer I am drawn to the beautiful photography. So many recipes, I like the Quick Fix sections simple and easy recipes.

Wanted the book after watching Donna Hay's christmas series on Disney. Watch that and you too will want the book, get the book and you will want to watch the series! Refreshing twists for festive food (and gifts) which could easily be used all year round in UK.

I debated for some time before buying this as I don't generally have to cook for many people at Christmas so keep things simple. However I happened to come across a copy in a book shop ( at full RRP) so had a quick browse through. I was sold on one recipe alone which is the delicious Lemon Meringue Trifle so dedcided to order the book from Amazon. I have absolutely no regrets and there are so many lovely ideas for side dishes ( and more trifles!) and recipes I didn't know I needed until now. Did I need a Christmas Cookery Book - the answer is a resounding Yes!

First, I need to set the scene, I am a cook book nut. I am so clad I purchased this book after seeing Donna Hay on Saturday kitchen where the book was promoted. This book is absolutely stunning from cover to cover with ground breaking photography and many twists on a traditional Christmas recipies. Donna blends a raft of dishes combining her Australian roots with ingredients gathered from around the world. Should you go out and buy this book, absolutely !!!

I loved reading the recipes and I am going to try some of the trifle recipes before next Christmas. The book is a delight.
