Good book, nice games
Learned number of games to play with my kids. Also all the games can be found on the Internet I think this book worth the money spent.

A winner for me
This is a very well written book. I wanted to explore as many card games as possible. 150 is not too bad to get started.I like how the book is broken up into sections based on the number of players for each game. There is also an extra tips and tricks section. The structure is the same and you really get used to it. First, a succinct description of the game and all the rules. Then the author moves to a frozen-up game situation and tell the possible next moves. This helps with understanding the rules better.I am still exploring, going at my own pace since I am not in a big rush. So take what I said with a grain of salt. It's what I have seen so far. Also I have never owned any book of this kind (i.e., books classifying cards games) before. So I can't compare to any other out there. With all that said, this book is a winner for me.

Good Reference
This is the official game night weekend book in our house. We are avid card players. This is a great reference and there are several games to play both by player level and difficulty level. I will say though, sometimes it is difficul to figure out how to play a game based on linear directions alone. I do wish there were pictures or more examples in the book as some of the more complex games are difficult to understand by reading alone. This has made us shy away from a few games in the book because they are too complicated to understand. All that said, this book is our go-to for our weekend family game nights and we always find something to play and we have a few favorites we play weekly.

Son loved this
I bought this for my son for Christmas. He was visiting the US from England and knew he could only take so much back. The book was small but heavier than expected because it is made with good quality paper. He and his wife love playing cards, and really liked this. He commented that he was definitely taking that present back to UK with him.

Good resource
Bought it to go in a gift box for "when the lights go out." Pastimes for an unplugged world.

Easy to follow; clear printing
This is great for visual learners, because it shows color graphics of the card layouts. The rest of the instruction is in clearly printed text. There are a lot of multi-age appropriate games in the book, and I think it will keep us busy. It was what I had hoped to have on hand for those days when the kids are cooped up.

overhyped, and not for novices
I bough this book based on customer's reviews on Amazon, and I gotta level with those who read my own review. Those who give this product five stars either know something I don't (maybe they've compared with other books out there) or they are paid to promote the book. I can't understand otherwise how anyone reading through the "Bridge" chapter, for example, could actually comprehend anything beyond the second section. The glossary is useless for complete novices, who have a hard time with simple words like "bidding" or even "suits." The words are simply not there, and neither is there a chapter actually introducing basic card terminology.I'm gonna give some other books a try, but I can't hide my disappointment on this one. For once, reviews on Amazon turned out to be misleading, or simply insufficient, and I made my purchase based on them, so I feel like either I didn't do my homework, or sometimes you gotta know a product personally, before buying it online. This book seems to make sense if you already play lots of card-games, and want to enrich your understanding. Even if Amazon allowed potential customers to flip through its pages, unless the first chapter and glossary are indicated, we'd have no way of knowing whether a sample chapter builds on previous ones, or if it's basically what you get.The answer for buyers, is that it is not built on previous chapters. The book does not build period. It's not for novices. Even if you can get it cheap, don't bother, you'll spend hours on the internet, watching youtube for explanations as a result.

Lot of fun between the pages
Super easy to follow. Great to see how we should have been playing some of the games (family rules), and lots of new games to play.A worthwhile purchase.

Great for kids and adults who love playing cards
Purchased a similar book last year as a Christmas gift during Covid lockdown. My niece and nephew loved it so much that we decided to gift them a book of their own this year. This book has so many great card games AND tricks. There is sure to be something in here for everyone !

Excellent Reference
Very comprehensive book filled with easy to follow instructions for many games. In sections for 1, 2, 3 or more players, kids, parties and a few tricks added there is plenty to go at. The index allows you to find a game by name. If you don’t know the name of a long-forgotten favourite you’ll just have to do a bit of reading, but that’s no big deal. See what I did.
