Nice quality good fit

Pictures show the Old on the Left vs. New on the RightI bought several of these hats over the years both for myself, family, and friends. The last time I bought one was 3-4 years ago. After years of frequent use and several cleanings, the hat was finally starting the show its age and shrunk a little (or maybe my head got bigger) so I opted for a new one the next size up.The new hat uses a notably tighter weave of a thinner wool than previously and it was noticeable as soon as I opened the package. The hat itself felt noticeably lighter despite being larger. Pinching the material confirms it is thinner than the older hat.Postal scale noted that the original hat was 3.0oz, while the new hat (again despite being larger in size) was only 2.5 oz which I imagine comes directly from the lighter/thinner wool fabric the hat is made from.The bill reinforcement still appears to be plastic with a brass button, and they still don't seem to be using fillers to make the shape. All good things. But as for the wool fabric, the best I can describe the difference is that the old hat is similar in material to a good wool suit coat, thick and heavy. The new hat is like a cheaper pair of suit pants, still wool but thin and light. That may be a plus to some people.My old hat, despite being folded, sat on, stuffed in suitcases, etc, has never creased or made a seam and a simple shake is all that is needed to fluff it up. I suspect that the new hat, with the thinner material would be more prone, but I can't confirm.At this point I am undecided as to whether I will keep the new hat or look for another brand. But if you are just looking for a fashion statement or want something to keep the heat on your head in the cold months, this still fits the bill.

At first, I was worried about the sizing. But when I received the hat it fit perfectly!!!! It also looks and feel good.

Hanna Hats are amazing! This is my first cap from Donegal Ireland and it won't be my last. The patchwork is fantastic. With this style of cap being purchased on the internet you get what you get, no two are alike. The best quality and true to size. Arrived with a halo of tissue paper holding its shape and folded as you would to put it in your pocket, bill over back. Great handcrafted cap of the best materials. Get yours today!

This is my husband's 4th Hanna Patchwork Cap. When he bought his first cap, about 43 years ago, it wasn't hard to find the "Brights" and that cap, despite the Dry Cleaner breaking the bill in the last cleaning job, is still his favorite.Sullivan Drug, from whom I bought this one, sent a nice cap in some great colors. For some reason, Hanna itself has cut back on production of the Brights, which he likes because they have a combination of all kinds of bright colors.These caps wear like iron. As I just mentioned, my husband was wearing his 43 year old one today. He'll start wearing his new one tomorrow, he says! My suggestion would be to hand-wash these caps in Woolite. They say to dry clean them but I can't understand why the dry cleaner broke the bill on his original cap. He also wears his other two but we couldn't get them in Brights, as he prefers.I intend to call Hanna Hats and make sure it's all right to wash them the way I plan. They are great people. And so are the people at Sullivan Drug who sent his hat ahead of schedule. My thanks go out to them!

Fits a bit tight but it loosens up a bit, I’m between sizes so I prefer snugger. So good I bought a second!
