One of the best
If you like Ernst Haas' photography, then this is probably the book to have. Most of the images are among his best work in color photography, and it's a representative selection that shows the brilliance of Haas: the cinematic photos, the romantic warm photos, the thrilling movements, and the pioneering abstracts (turning inconspicuous things into art). The book "Color Correction" makes a nice companion, since it has only a couple of the same photos, but that book contains too many of the lesser photographs. Steidl is anouncing a new book called ABSTRAKT for years now, but somehow it never actually gets published. A lot of photographs will be the same as you can find in this one, but let's still hope that it will finally happen.
