One star because they will not let you give less than that. The mattress was not as pictured. It is not 10 inches thick. It smelled like I remember China smelling ~ I grew up in the orient. The smell was strong and gave me an instant headache. The fabric was fabric I would not even use for a dog bed and I have sewn and worked with fabrics all my life. Calling it twill is misleading as it is not twill as twill is commonly defined. It is cheap thin stretchy awful feeling man made fiber of some sort. We could not send it back as the seller does not provide return shipping or any help whatsoever and shipping from where we live in sticks USA was going to cost more than the mattress itself. I really question this product is made in the USA as they state as it is not the quality I expect and usually get in products made in this country. We are stuck with something we cannot use. No refunds. No concessions. No recourse.

This item was supposed to be delivered to our home on April 10th along with the frame (same company). It arrived today, April 24th, after two weeks of waiting for production. The company explained the mattresses are made to order. I was shocked when my husband set it up. The quality is poor, and I will be returning immediately. This “mattress” is a thin and easily ripped polyester nightmare filled with lumpy garbage paper that smells like toxic chemicals. Do not buy this disgusting item! We noticed it was ripped when we were removing the plastic; the sewing is sloppy and threads are hanging out everywhere. So disappointed...I am expecting a full refund.

UPDATE: We received this mattress on Jan. 13th 2017 and as of the end of June it was hurting our backs despite flipping and turning the mattress it compressed and never fluffed back up. This would be better as a guest bed mattress or as a couch so long as no one will be camped out on it for too long. We opened it and left it sit on our frame for a day or 2 & it fluffed up to just over 8". Considering our old mattress over the years compressed down to only being an inch to 1 1/2 inches of "padding" on our platform frame, this mattress is a blessing! It is both firm and soft. (there is plenty of luxury / softness as it isn't like sleeping on the hardwood floor yet it has plenty of much-needed support). If you're looking for a comfortable mattress w/o springs and you want one that won't smell like formaldehyde - or worse - then buy this one! It suits both of our comfort needs (He likes softer mattresses and I prefer ones with more support... we are BOTH really happy with this mattress!) I bookmarked this company & product so in the future when we need a mattress for the natural wood frame we're finishing for a couch in the living room, we will buy another one of these mattresses!

It’s not a *terrible* mattress. It seems a decent thickness, but definitely not 10” as described and definitely not as “square and boxy” as the picture shows.•When first unrolled, the smell of henna hits so bad! Sooooo stinky. The description says it may have “natural aromatics” but this was ridiculous.•one side of the mattress was very lumpy, and still hasn’t settled after days of being decompressed, it’s the actual insides that are lumped. (Shown in one of the pics)•the stitching quality is very poor. Loose strands all over where the zipper is sewn in, and where the tufts are, will definitely be ripping at some point. It’s like they ripped it just to get the thread in for the tufts?•the white thread where the tufts are also had this white residue, maybe because they used a waxy thread?For the money I paid I would have expected a nicer, quality product. I am quite disappointed. I would return, however, it’s for a guest room so won’t be used everyday, and I’m about to have a baby and my mom needs somewhere to sleep. we don’t have time to get anything else. If we find it Gets too uncomfortable though I may try!

It's great if you don't intend to sleep on it long. It made my back ache after only 3 nights and I weigh 130. Each night I woke up in an indent that conveniently popped up after crawling out of it making it impossible to take a picture of the issue for the company which only offered to send a replacement. So my options are to pay half the cost to ship it back or sell it on my own :o/

To the seller:It has been more than 8 weeks waiting for this matress to reach the high it was described (which is supposed to be 10”) that I paid for, and as you see it in the pictures attached that it is still 5 inches with a very bad quality and not comfortable at all. I bought this mattress along with the Queen size sofa of yours thinking it would be some good match and a reliable purchase in which I didn't experience, unfortunately.

It was too thick and uncomfortable to use as a couch from day one. As a mattress it was thick, but uncomfortable and lumpy (I am not picky. I can sleep on carpeted floor without issue, so it had to be bad to be more uncomfortable than that.). After two or three changes from bed to couch and back, the lumpiness became significantly worse. I unzipped it to discover the inside was made of layers of foam with an outer layer of "cotton". This cotton layer is not a solid piece, so it separates and balls up with any use. It is what caused the horrible lumpiness. I am not willing to risk purchasing a second mattress for our otherwise nice wood futon. When we sell our home this summer, the wood futon goes to Goodwill and the mattress to the dump. I hate writing negative reviews, so I delayed this for years. My motivation for finally writing is because I have company coming for Christmas. I am already feeling embarrassed that I will have them sit on this horrible product. I wish I could buy a new couch, but that will have to wait until after our move next year. I am very disappointed because had I loved the futon.

Got this to replace my old mattress for my futon and I have to say I absolutely love it! Arrived exactly when it said it would, only downside is yes, it's heavy but it's a ten inch thick mattress and I had to carry it by myself. Got it on my futon and it is super comfy, can't feel the frame of my futon under it at all. Company also provided free shipping for this product so another plus there. Overall, wonderful product
