Express Yourself: The One-Year Journal for Girls

I ordered this as a gift for a friend’s 13 year old daughter. This girl is very creative but is not a fan of reading books or writing. I thought this book could be a fun way to get her interested in writing while also helping her to be able to process her thoughts and the emotions that run high with teenagers.This book is really cute and does not seem to be overwhelming or daunting for a girl who is not an avid writer. It is a great book for just starting out with writing or journaling. I wish it had a spiral bound option that would be easier to open flat but other than that, this is a great book for a young teenager that has everything. I would definitely buy this again.

I'm a teacher and tutor. I purchased this journal for a 7th grade girl for our writing tutoring. It has been exactly what she needed to spark her interest in writing and allow her to practice the craft! The daily entry spaces are short enough not to be overwhelming but long enough for a full paragraph. The "extra" side boxes have interesting topics that she is able to pick and choose. Good choice for a beginner journal.

Ordered this for my 10 year old to help encourage her writing and it’s adorable! Very appealing to young girls. Space for a few notes of daily writing and a weekly writing prompt and also some encouraging quotes throughout.
