Ello Thrive BPA-Free Glass Water Bottle with Bamboo Lid, 20-Ounce

I've had this bottle for a few months and I am still happy with it. The wooden top has is well made and the inside is a nice rubber. The bottle itself is still holding up even after a few drops and rolls off the counter and desk, not a scratch or chip. I haven't had any issues with leaking, although I have never put it in the dishwasher.The only problem I have is with the design. I purchased the etch version hoping that it would mean the design was etched into the glass, but instead it is painted to look etched. The whole thing has not rubbed off yet, most of it is still on the bottle it's just that when the bottle gets wet it floats around so the design can either move or come off on your hand when you touch it.I'm overall pretty satisfied, I would buy it again because of the build quality and the wooden top.

Now I purchased this water bottle back in July because I was looking for a replacement for my glass water bottle by Kerplunk Klear(since the company had gone out of business). I wanted to wait awhile to see how well it held up since it had such bad reviews. Since I have gotten the water bottle I have not really had much of an issue. The print has not come off the glass and I've hand washed it quite a lot. I have also not experienced an 'awful' smell with the cap either. My only issue is that for some reason the cap on the inside had a white residue on it after I used a few times. I'm guessing that happened because 1)it is rubber on the inside of the cap and 2)it sometimes just sits in my son's diaper bag with water in it, but soap and water took it right off. I would recommend this to anyone in look of purchasing a glass water bottle.

Well made and so far it does not leak.The only issue I have had with this bottle is in the first few weeks there was an odor from the inside of the lid that smelled like glue or something toxic in nature. After several washings it seemed to dissipate.I purchased this bottle for several reasons, mainly because it is glass and does not leech any toxic chemicals into my water and because the description states it is leak proof. The only draw back to this bottle is that it is narrow and does not fit into most cup holders in vehicles. So, it tips back and forth. But, this is a minor issue as long as it doesn't leak.I think it is beautiful and functional and so far I love it.

I truly love this water bottle. The glass is quite thick and sturdy (however I will say that this is my second water bottle of the same kind as the first one I had slipped out of my hands after I had just washed it and fell on its side to the kitchen floor and shattered to a million pieces).The first time that I opened it to wash it, the lid did have an unpleasant vinegar smell, that was easily removed with soap and water.It has such a lovely design on it and I am constantly receiving compliments on it. The bottle states that it is "dishwasher safe", but I will warn you that if you really are keen on keeping the design original, do not put it in the dishwasher, the design melted and moved. The flowers looked a little wilted post-wash. I have been hand-washing my new bottle. Also, the top is a hand-wash only due to the bamboo.

I really wanted one of these glass water bottles with the bamboo lid and this one is perfect especially for the price. The handle is strong and hasn't broken even though I carry it around by that even when full. The cap hasn't leaked at all. I like the way this bottle has a wider mouth than many other. I wouldn't recommend this for hiking or during exercise as I'm usually afraid I will break it. And the pretty design flakes off in the dishwasher, on a hot day, and if I just hold it to long, but it's still exactly what I was looking for.

Loved the idea of a glass water bottle, which is really the only reason i bought this. That, and the fact that i have a few other ello products that im completely satisfied with. However, this isnt an ideal on the go water bottle because you have to be so careful not to drop it and it puts on a fair share of weight when its full. Idealy, this would be an amazing water bottle if you use it in an office or to havw at bed side. Not for school, or for the gym and especially not for hiking because it just gets too heavy and it doesnt hold as much water as i would like it to.

I received a similar glass water bottle with bamboo lid as a gift and although it has thick strong glass unfortunately after dropping it the second time it shattered. (clumsy.)Someone told me they sell them at Target but sadly after making the trip discovered they were sold out, so I checked on line to see if this popular item (See the reviews) was in stock at the other Target stores -All were completely sold out.After finding this one on line through Amazon I am thrilled. I actually like the design better than the original one from Target and the cost is reasonable, so I ordered an extra one as a gift. They arrived within a few days.-really stylish.The lid is air tight, no spills and screws on beautifully- easy to handle and drink from and I love it!

I've probably bought about seven of these now and destroyed two. They are pretty durable unless you actually drop them on a hard surface. I think that the water tastes clean and fresh in glass; I haven't noticed any issues with smells like other reviewers. The lid should be hand washed. The glass can go in the dishwasher, but be aware that this will cause the design to peel off. Hand washing is the best way to keep it looking new. This bottle is very easy to clean compared to all others I've owned.As far as the actual aesthetics, I can say that I have gotten many compliments on this water bottle (some for other colors and designs). I think the bottle has a pleasing appearance, but I'd actually prefer it without the print.
