Did the job I bought it for
I had read at a website called RV Restripe Central how to remove my RV stripes. One of the methods was this stripe removal tool, and the best deal I could find was here at AMazon. I bought mine under the other sellers column, from "Fox Run Tools". It arrived fast. This buffing disc is specially designed to remove large graphics from vehicles, in my case an old RV motorhome that had the graphic stripes faded, cracked and peeling. They do make other products for smaller stripes and pinstripes. In my case it was a one time use product, because it works like an eraser and the material wears down as you use it. So to remove one 6" strip from both sides of a 29 foot RV just ate up the whole "eraser". It even leaves rubber shavings like an eraser. It is too bad that it is a one time use tool, as I could have have used it on a family members vehicle. You will need an 1,100 to 3,000 RPM tool, air or electric. You can use either a grinder or a buffer, but you MUST make sure that it is at least 1,100 RPM. I checked on buying the local auto store buffer and it was much too low on RPM. I used my Ryobi angle grinder. You will need an adaptor LSAR, but I took the wheel and the grinder to True Value, and they adapted a part for me for $2.50. Some people say the Makita 9227C sander-polisher is a good tool to use,or the Black and Decker Buffmaster #6138.Other methods to remove these stripes are to use a heat gun or a clothing steamer. All 3 methods leave behind some residue and are not perfect. I removed the adhesive residue with denatured alchohol from the hardware store, it easier on the hands and nose compared to paint thinner, and more gentle to the RV finish. You may have to cover the old area with new stripes, but you can use a carpenters chalk line to mark your line and do this yourself as well.In the end, the wheel did the job I bought it for. It is hard and messy work, and if I could have afforded to I would have hired an RV shop or paint shop to do it, but this was all I could afford.

No substitute for this!
There’s no substitute for this time saver! Must use with the proper type of rotary tool (I used a professional DeWalt electric variable speed & RPM buffer). I’m removing large graphics and nothing works as good as this. I previously tried boiling water and/or heat gun with a plastic razor scraper. I also tried the 3M rubber disc for small decals. Those methods all work but take a long time with large graphics, and sometimes the paint can be damaged. This product quickly and easily removes large graphics with no hassles or damage!

A piece of junk.
Does not do the job well.To remove decals, it take 3X longer.Clean up difficult.Far too heavy to use with the tool needed to perform the task. The 3M-7498 STRIPE WHEEL W/ARBOR for $16 is the best tool available for removing decals off of RV's.Don't waste your money here.

Works as advertised. Removes decals and adhesive together, much better and faster than the heat gun. Does not harm finish. PS (wear goggles and hat) ha

Awesome product!
Works great for removing front cap decals on fifth wheel and pull behind campers. We fix and paint a lot of front caps and this disc has saved us about 2 hours of labor over having someone peel with a heat gun then remove all the adhesive. After removed we spray "wrap remover" to soften any remaining adhesive and wipe off.
