Lovely taste of the UK
This was a taste of home. A bit pricey, but a lovely bite with tea. If your Gran didn't give you these, was she really your Gran? I hear they have different flavors besides orange now!

Bleah!
Note: I know these travelled a long way to get to me in Texas, but I was a little disappointed to see that the chocolate was melted and stuck onto the inside of the wrapper - and it was spring and not summer, so not a weather issue. These may be like Twinkies to Americans - something you consider a comfort food even though they're kinda gross and not your first snack choice... I don't know. I ordered them because Peter Grant refers to them in the Rivers of London books. The orange flavor is super strong - and it's orange peel and not juice. The chocolate was melted and not tasty. I had expected something tasting like the chocolate oranges I get at christmas. It's not.I thought maybe my unmet expectations were to blame, so I set them out on a desk that multiple people use and which we keep stocked with snacks.A few disappeared, but there were no repeat customers. I ended up throwing out 9/10ths of the box.So, basically, in terms of flavor and value for money... I got neither.

First Time Trying Jaffa Cakes, and They're GOOD!
My favorite YouTuber is from England and when they do live streams they often have Jaffa Cakes as a snack. After hearing about how much they love them and seeing other people comment on how yummy they are, I decided to try ordering some.Happy to say that my order arrived about 4 days before the earliest estimated arrival date. My box was also well within the printed expiration date and they're in perfect condition. :)After trying the first one, I was a little like, "ehh... not sure what all the fuss is about." Then I had another.... and another... and another, until I'd eaten half the sleeve! Super tasty. I'm not a massive fan of orange and chocolate, but in these the tangy orange and sweet and slightly bitter chocolate with the fluffy and every so slightly dry cake work together beautifully! With tea or coffee these are just perfect! :DI kind of wish I could get them locally, but it's probably best I can't or I wouldn't be able to stop myself eating a whole box in a single sitting!

I should've known better
Melted, stuck together, dried out, and inedible. I've had success ordering these through Amazon in the past, and I'm sure the quality is dependent on how long they've been sitting in whatever shipping container, but I'm unlikely to take that risk again.

It Was Bought As a Gift But...
...like most reviews, the product is past its sell-by date. Depending on the situation there's more than a fifty percent chance that if you were to buy it, the Jaffa Cakes are going to be somewhat stale no matter what you do. It was a gift, and the people enjoyed it. The cakes tasted fine, but they weren't absolutely fresh as you'd expect but they still tasted good. Price is also an issue as much like other reviews, when you buy these cakes you're technically buying them overpriced. Even for an imported fee, you're losing money. But knowing all this, it's still worth having.
