Good product, great company to do business with
I like the toned down spices myself. My wife and I lived in France for a while, the merguez had more bite to them. If you want more heat to your dish you can add some harissa or some other pepper sauce. Myself, I just love them as they came from this company. They came well packaged in a foam box and surrounded by plenty of ice packs. They arrived the day after they were shipped, via Fed ex. We've tried making them ourselves, by the time we bought the lamb, spices, pomegranate juice and casings it was close to $50. Plus local shops don't carry lamb year round. We tried ordering the lamb sausage from local butchers, but it was a special order, and they didn't get the spices even close. So I can understand why they charge what they do! My opinion is this company makes a good product, (no not exactly perfect) charges a fair price, and ships expeditiously. I will definitely order from them again

Merguez
I had merguez when I was in France and appreciated how different it was from Italian sausage here in the States. This will taste much better grilled the next time (doesn't everything?!). I'm happy with it and was pleased that I could order it on-line since it's something I couldn't travel back with!

Simply not very good
I have eaten merguez in France all my life until moving to the US, and by the time I purchased those I was getting desperate. Those sausages are simply not very good. They are bland, the meat is gamy, there is no heat (there should be anywhere from a little bit to a lot of heat), and they have very little spice in them. The meat is neither lean nor fatty, but releases a tremendous amount of water.

Good but not great, misses the mark, expensive
While these were good, if you’re looking for an authentic French merguez, taste-wise this is not really close. French merguez is more red colored and has more of a harissa/chili taste to it. Hard to explain unless you’ve had it before. Overall a bit disappointing considering the price.

Good, but not very spicy
Good flavor, but could use a little more bite. A tough expensive, but worth it for the quantity.

Delicious Merguez!
Merguez is not an easy product to find in the U.S., and although these are quite expensive, they are very good. The product was delivered promptly, it was very fresh and well packaged. I am used to the quality that I get in North Africa and France, so I was a bit skeptical. I can truthfully say, this matches that quality. However, the sausages do have some beef as well as lamb. The impression I had when I ordered is that it was all lamb. It is not. Nonetheless, it is excellent.
