I found this on a lightning deal and I went ahead and ordered. At first, I thought I should give it as a gift but I didn't want it to sit in a box because they wouldn't use it. I use it for tea. It feels special and precious. It came with a plastic doily that I also love. So you get a gorgeous cup, a spoon and a doily, all you add is your special beverage. I highly recommend this solidly built, cup. I will say though that it is pretty weighted and with a beverage becomes even heavier so if you or your special friend have an issue with lifting heavier cups this might not be a good choice (14.8 ounces empty and filled it is 1lb 8oz.)

I got this for a Christmas gift and it looks exactly as it shows in the photos. I highly recommend you get this for a gift or just for usage.

Beautiful mug for drinking tea. I'm a bit nervous to put it in the dishwasher though. Seems hand wash only.

I purchased the blue mug for my 20 yr old daughter and the red mug for myself. We have coffee and conversations every morning and these beautiful glasses make our time a little extra special. Beautiful, exceptionally well designed, solid and sturdy assembly, and nicely balanced drinking. As for cleaning, ...depends on what you're drinking. If tea, coffee or other light texture liquids, quite easy with soft cloth. But if heavier texture liquids such as chocolate drinks or sticky consistency drinks, a dishwashing brush or tooth brush may be required throughout all the beautifully creviced intricate butterfly & roses 'ornaments. Spoon, a very nice touch & sturdy construction. Certainly makes a superb gift ...for any occasion.

Arrived promptly and well packaged, not in the fanciest box for gift giving, I say this because I purchased another tea cup of the same design from another seller and it arrived in a beautiful gift box. I bought this cup for myself and LOVE it. It really is nice to drink a cup of tea out of such a lovely tea cup. The tea cup looks delicate so I was a little surprised how sturdy it felt when I held it. Because of the intricate designs on the outside of the glass cup I am careful how I wash it. I think I read that it was dishwasher safe, could be wrong, however, if it can be put in the dish washer I certainly would not recommend doing so, and when you buy one you will see what i mean.
