Works perfectly. Great value for money.
This transmitter is fantastically good value. It's easily compared to the brand name ones which cost much much more. The only downside I can see works be a possible lack of weather proofing. If you can do without that, I'd absolutely recommend these. I use it with a group of three flashes and it works perfectly. Even if you only have a single flash, this gives you the flexibility to use it off camera with modifiers like a softbox or umbrella. Unless you're a pro where the extra money for more guaranteed reliability is easily justified, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this.

Excellent trigger
Works very well with my 600EX IIs but will likely need to move to another maker to expand my lighting setup (use monolights). With that said, I have had no issues with it and would recommend. Very easy to use.

Yongnuo is for learning
Yongnuo does a fantastic job for far less than Canon, which means they’re prefect for beginners. Once clients start paying you, you can spend more on Canon if you choose, but this does the exact same job for 1/5th the price.

This is a great alternative to a Canon transmitter.
I was tired of waiting for my Canon transmitter which was on eternal backorder. I decided to try this obvious clone which was a fraction of the price. I'm beyond impressed. The construction is obviously a little cheaper, but the functionality is spot on and identical to the Canon unit.

Bye Canon!
After about 5 years of using 2 Canon flashes and a Canon receiver for my portrait photography, I decided to give Yongnuo a try when both of my Canon flashes died at on the same day; I am glad I did. My 2 Yongnuo flashes and the receiver work just like my expensive Canon plus I can still use my rechargeable AA batteries. I paid $500 for each Canon flash and $400 for a Canon receiver. With Yongnuo I paid around $350 for 2 flashes and a receiver and I get the same results. On top of this, the Canon flashes did not have a way to let me know how much charge I had left in my batteries, something I get with Yongnuo. This is a no brainer; in fact, I am now buying additional flashes as backup.

Not nearly as good as the, "real thing."
Misfires from time to time and in Group mode won't work if the A group is turned off and FEC doesn't work either (not so with Canon). Outside of group mode -- the truth strength of the system -- misfires aside, it seems to work. Lighter than a 430 EX III RT, so if you shoot in E-TTL or manual, then it's OK.Update: Yongnuo recommended doing a function clear. I did so and that seems to have fixed the problem. I have no idea why the issue arose in the first place -- idk if there's a setting that causes it now. ** to *** stars as it's lose on the hot shoe and the control wheel seems overly cheap.Update: * star! Nope--isn't as good as the "real thing". See images. The first one is with the Yonguo transmitter and for the second all I did was swap in a 430EX III-RT to be the master. The results speak for themselves. I could also tell the Yonguo triggered the preflash in much more noticeable way than Canon. I'll shop for a used ST-E3-RT and put this one kindly in the trash (since I can't get but a few bucks for it used).

I couldn't be happier with the Yongnuo YN-E3-RT II. It is simple and it works every time. Now I can use off camera lighting in any situation.
