Lightweight & Strong, but Very Expensive
I was looking for a really good quality, strong and lightweight walking stick, that would fold up when needed. This fits the bill perfectly. It's very lightweight because of the carbon fibre and feel pretty strong and sturdy. I've had a much cheaper non-carbon fibre one before and it wasn't as light as this one and certainly not as stable. You can adjust the height of it in 5 increments, using the holes and silver pop-out. I'm 5ft 10" and have it on the middle one. So there are 2 higher and 2 lower settings. The handle is a really nice shape, but could do with being a bit softer. It's quite firm in the hand. It's very easy to put together and take apart, then you can put it in the carry case that comes with it. All the connectors feel sturdy and durable. If it's possible for a walking stick to look really stylish, then this one certainly does. The carbon fibre design is stunning and it's topped off with silver/black ring. Having had major spine surgery and suffer from a lot of back pain & sciatica down my leg, which has a tendency to give way, I'm really pleased I purchased this particular walking stick. There are only 2 negatives with it, one minor, the other not so. After only a month, the black on the handle has started to chips off - see photos. The 2nd is the price. This is no means cheap, although it is carbon fibre. When you consider you can buy a 12ft carbon fibre fishing rod for half the price or less, then this looks really expensive for what it is. If I ignore cost, then it's 4 stars, but this has to be 3 when taking it into account.
