Sharp tools, perfect for smaller lathes
I've used this set of tools for a month with my Grizzly 10x22 lathe. The tools were mounted in quick-change tool holders. Most of my cutting has been with 12L14 steel, but I've also used the tools to face and cut C110 copper and Delrin (acetal). The tools have remained sharp so far. In summary, I'm pleased with this purchase.

Nicely done. I
I only had to touch them up. That would have taken me a long time to grind these.

Good starter set, or filling for those you do not have.
Works good, great grind on the angles, and useable from the start.

Great on aluminum and brass
I primarily got these hss bits because I liked the assortment provided and the fact that they came with a case to keep them organized. On inspection, they appear to be a decent quality for the price; they're sharp and the grind looks to be OK by my eyes.I tested them on some aluminum round and brass hex stock and the cuts were good quality and chip control was good too. I haven't done harder metal, but for the softer metals and plastics, I anticipate these will be fine.I don't really have any long term usage to report but preliminary impression is good; I don't know what the alloy composition is, so that could affect the edge life and how they perform in harder metal, but so far so good.

Not as hard as other HSS tools
Did not work well on mild steel.

Great set!
These will be my go to set from now on. Super sharp and perfectly machined out of the box!

Good solid tool bit set
These are a good alternative when you need to turn plastic or other softer materials that a carbide bit just isn't sharp enough to get good smooth cut on.

To sharp
Had to put on a small radius on the cutting tip to get a nice finish, the cutting edge is grind had to much of a point.
