Choose Your Own Adventure 6-Book Boxed Set #1

These are books in a series that I read when I was a kid. They are great because they give the reader a bit more involvement with what they are reading, which is key for young readers who are still developing an interest in reading. It was for that reason that I bought this set to give to a friend's son who was struggling with his reading (reading at a 3rd grade level, but the boy is in 6th grade). These books contributed to sparking more interest in reading for him and helped to bring his skill level up to the appropriate level. UPDATE 7/17/2018 I'm happy to report that my friend's son was able to catch up with his reading at school and my friend thanked me profusely for buying these books for his son. Between these books, the efforts of the parents and the teachers - and of course, the efforts of the son - the son was able to pass the 6th grade. He will start 7th grade in the fall, without issues with his reading level anymore (hopefully).

I loved these books when I was a kid, I just bought them for my 10 year niece. She is loving them because she can choose how the story ends and then read it again and again with different endings. They are great books for young readers it gets them engaged because they can choose what happens next.

I bought these books for my son he says "they're interesting to read and I especially like mystery ones. What I like best is that there are bunch of different parts so like you can mix up one page and it still makes sense. I also like that there are tons of endings." I remember reading these books when I was a kid and thought he might like them too. He doesn't have the same love of reading his sisters and I do and I'm trying hard to cultivate that. So glad he likes them, will be purchasing additional sets in the future.

I bought these books for my 8 year old son and he loves them! My 9 year old daughter (who HATES and struggles with reading) picked it up, started reading book #1 and has not stopped! These books are engaging, interactive, and tons of fun for kids. Also my kids love that some pages have a paragraph or 2 instead of pages full of text- it makes the whole process less overwhelming and more enjoyable. I loved these books as a kid and glad my kids do as well! Highly recommended! Great price too!

I bought this set as recommended by my son for his 2nd grade 'hesitant' reader. My grand is a good reader but he is not interested and these books are helping

My fourth graders, love these books and beg for me to keep reading them! They’ve been fun during our testing season as well. A nice way to help them relax after their state testing!

My grandson loves these choose your own adventure books. He’s read them multiple times since Christmas, and it’s been 4 weeks. I would definitely buy them again.
