Good watch if want a durable analog, watch out for short band
Functionally, this watch works great. My wife needed a durable watch she could use while doing water sports and working out. I have an old GShock and love it, and so far I don't see anything about this watch that isn't as solid as my watch. The analog dial is easy to read. I do agree with some concerns expressed.Setting the time is not intuitive, the digital content is hard to read, and the backlight basically serves no purpose. Once you set the watch, though, you have a great, durable analog watch. Why give it four stars? I was looking for a great, durable analog watch. My wife also commented on the watchband. Not only is it an odd patent leather looking band, the patent leather gloss started coming off on day one. This was actually a good thing to my wife (so no lost star from me), because she thought the shiny band was kind of strange looking. Also, they aren't kidding when they say the band is short. I was looking for a short band length because my wife has pretty thin wrists, but I think she is on the last or second to last band setting. Technically it fits, but I like for my casual watches to roll around a little on my wrist or I feel bound up. My wife is satisfied with the band length.

Love the look
This style is my style. I love them. One downside is I can’t read the digital part. When I need to reset alarm or time, so hard to see take me long time to reset. I can’t even tell what day it is when need them. So I just use for time.

A Great, Durable Watch
I bought one of these for my wife prior to going on vacation last year. I wanted just two things: (a) durable and (b) fairly waterproof. The Casio fit the bill with both requirements. The time is still spot on even after almost a year and that's saying quite a bit!ProsEasy to read analog handsVery adjustable rubber strapA classy look- good for fun or dress upAccuratePretty much bomb-proofConsA learning curve to set up for the first time or to make changesHard to read digital display in low lightI'm sure most people who buy G-Shock watches can set them blindfolded and in about 3 seconds. I'm so old school when it comes to technology that it seems forever to get things right. Luckily, there are some excellent videos on Youtube that show how to set up G-Shock watches which greatly simplifies things! But, once it's set up and running, you have a great, durable, dependable timepiece.

Great watch!
I've owned several Baby G's in the past, mostly in college when I was a sailing instructor. Fast forward to 2015 when my fiancee and I purchased a sailboat and we started to fix it up. It became clear almost immediately, after nearly losing the expensive watch my parents gave me for college graduation, that I needed a "boat watch".... something with some style but durable and reliable. I thought immediately of a Baby G. Imagine my surprise that in the last *cough cough* more than a few years Casio came out with an analogue Baby G.It arrived today and its perfect. It did take a few tries to set it with the right date and time (hint- make sure the month, day AND year are all correct)- the analogue portion set itself when I corrected the time zone and year. Also, the other reviewers are correct that the date and seconds readers are hard to see. If you need those functions for your life (like when I was a sailing instructor) or you like those functions, this might not be the watch for you. But for my purposes... mostly seeing time when out and about, it works fine.I haven't exposed it to the boat yet, but I'm excited to wear it for sailing, running, and walking the dog. Thanks!

but unless you have 20/20 vision and are in bright light conditions you will have difficulty making out the 3 tiny digital areas rendering them practically useless to you
shock resistant, accurate...but unless you have 20/20 vision and are in bright light conditions you will have difficulty making out the 3 tiny digital areas rendering them practically useless to you. It is accurate. I understand the rational to give the appearance of an analog watch with a dark face...for the price...hum....oh and the light is a tiny yellow side light also useless does not even light up the entire face of the watch at night. Not sure how the designers let this one slip by...looks nice but basically you are left with an analog watch that looks digital but effectively no. They need to pull this watch go back to the drawing board. I would not buy it again...yeah concur it is kinda disappointing and I had read the previous 1 star reviews but was willing to buy it because I wanted the analog baby g...keeps accurate time....

Great, durable watch
My wife was looking for a durable watch (she says she's not hard on things, but the pile of watches she's gone through says differently). This one has been holding up very well. She loved the fact that it set itself automatically right out of the box. The only complaint she had with it is that the digital portion is difficult to see at times (especially in lower light...the light on the watch face isn't that great). For the money, she's happy with the durability, look, and function. We'll see how much of a lickin' it'll take and keep on tickin'. ;-)

Great looking watch - multiple purpose!
I have been looking for an analog watch for nursing and running. This met my goal. The only drawback is that the additional features - day, digital time, etc are hard to read. Also, I have not mastered how to utilize changing functions. The buttons are a little difficult to push. With that said, the watch is the perfect size and weight. I also like that the band is adjustable. It does come packaged in a tin with a small instruction booklet. I have Prime membership and it arrived as estimated. Overall, a great watch.

Not sure it's authentic
Kind of sketch. No number on case to match to back of watch. Button test shows different code than on back of watch, which can be explained sometimes by mix up during manufacture. Compounded with fact that light doesn't back light, or show back dials when pressed only glows up from bottom and this watch is just sus. It tells time accurately so far hence the three stars.

Good Delivery, not happy about the watch
The delivery of the watch was on time and as expected. The watch though wasn’t great. It’s an analog Baby G with a small digital display that shows so poorly that unless you have it in bright light and look really closely, it cannot be read.

Happy Wife, Happy Life!
My wife was very happy with her new Baby-G! Fits her arm perfectly...only drawback- the 3 screens are very difficult to read unless you angle them correctly to a light source maybe a black readout on a lighter screen?

Good looking sports watch
This is awesome watch! The contrast of black and steel makes it pop.Update March 2020.This watch has outdone itself, it's still going strong even with the constant beating that comes with a fast paced restaurant job. Still looks like the day I bought it, (see attached picture) the steel is even still shiny, it's a well made watch! The only thing I've replaced is the battery.
