This flashlight is good for walking in the dark; especially if you can't be on a sidewalk. The light in front lights your path and the steady red light (not flashing) at the other end warns cars coming up from behind you that you are there. The only thing I would prefer is if the flashing option on the red end of the flashlight was allowed at the same time as the front white light. The flashing option only works when the front end is turned off. All in all works great for my morning walks which are currently very dark. It makes for a safer walk.

This is a great flashlight at this price point! I have been using it for nighttime dog walking, and navigating my scary dark parking lot at work. The rear red light is a super bonus! I also gave one to my dog walker, who often walks dogs at night. Nicely built unit that I usually keep in my coat pocket... Last night, I was on my way to the Ballet and decided to lighten my load and left it at home. Big regrets, because the power went out at the restaurant before the show, could have really used it then!

November 2019: Perfect. Exactly what I need for nighttime dog walks. Solid construction aluminum, bright beams, and a good price.February 2020 (#1): Well, I downgraded my initial review since it stopped working. Tried fresh batteries, inspected the LEDs, and all wires are intact but it won't light unless I shake it. Even then, it operates intermittently.February 2020 (#2): Within days of posting my problem with the flashlight, the owner of the company contacted me and sent me a new one, free of charge. Excellent customer service!

This product was exactly what I hoped to get. I use it when I run in the early morning, before the sun is up. The rear red light is very helpful when i’m out on the road. The front white light is very bright and alerts cars to my presence. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the front white light dims very slightly when the back red light is on at the same time. But it doesn’t diminish the quality of light enough to make a difference in safety.

This flash light for walking is good enough. loses brightness when you turn on both the red and front lights. Not high lumens but enough for cars to notice you walking at night.

Perfect for my intended purpose. I use it for walking my dog at night and since it gets dark earlier and will be dark even earlier when we turn the clocks this handy flashlight is perfect. It also shines red LED at the back of the flashlight and can also be flashing. Even though I walk in a neighborhood that is not heavily trafficked there are still cars that drive by. Quick delivery and I’m very pleased.

Concept is great. The red light on the rear starting failing in 2 weeks. It now does not work at all. That bright front light quit now. Nothing lights up. Also not comfortable in my pocket. Yes, I put new batteries in it--twice. Nothing. Buy a flashlight at dollar tree instead. That is what I use now.

When it arrived, I loved it, but it wouldn't turn on. I wrote to the company assuming I would never hear from them. I received a phone call by the time I got home from work, saying an replacement was on the way! (Very nice man!) It arrived promptly and I love it. Sturdy, good light. I highly recommend.
