Let's start with the obvious, yes, this is expensive. So, consider what your dog needs it for and when it will be used. This is not the most durable of products. It's rather delicate and it's really thin, but that said, it does work! The reflective liner does help my dog retain body heat and reduce the need for a bulky jacket. I do not allow my dog to wear this when he is roughhousing or going to roll in the yard. I suspect it would have immediate failures if he were to do this. We DO use it for outings to the store and appointments. He has short fur with very little undercoat and gets cold easily. He is also a service dog, so when we go out, I like this to keep him warm, while still allowing me to put his service vest over it. When we are in buildings, I unzip the neck to keep him from overheating. This formula has seemed to work for us so far. It IS kind of a pain to put on, but we're getting a little faster each time we use it. If it were not for the snap at the shoulders, it would be impossible to get on. (Our first one came defective and only had 1/2 a snap. I contacted the company directly and they were wonderful about helping me to return the defective item and get a good one. Their communication and customer service was great!) I'm quite pleased that we purchased this and we are getting plenty of use out of it. However, I'll say again, if you want your dog to be super active, running, rolling, playing and crazy in this, I suspect it won't last you long. For a controlled and organized outing, it should be great. For the rough and tumble days, take a look at other Hurtta coats.

The Hurtta body warmer is perfect for our little guy. The sizing is accurate. Love that he just steps into it and you zip on top along his back... very easy. First time it wasn't too cold so we just went out with the body warmer suit. He stayed warm the entire walk. It's lightweight and anticipate ot will later easily insert his coats as we progress into winter months. The only thing I disliked is that based on the packaging, it appeared that the item was a return based on the packaging. I've purchased a number of Hurtta coats, so I know how an original brand new item is shipped. This item just cane in a clear bag. Five stars for the body warmer itself.

Everything about this product seems to be legit, except for the sizing. Runs a little snug. My dog fits into the 16m category and I gave an extra inch or 2. Unfortunately I think it's my error maybe on measurement but I think an 18 would work better. I'd your dog is in-between a size, go one up. Felt warm when I wrapped my hands in, seemed like decent material and that it'll hold up to some wear and tear. Definitely not meant for full time outdoor use without a protective cover thoughUpdate- Got the 18. Mhm maybe my dog is a little chunky 🤣 but it fits decent and he can move around. But all in all, we use it only for night time backcountry sleeping anyways. Night temp was in the 30s, with this and a blanket he didn't snuggle with me, so he must have been nice and warm.

True to Hurtta sizing. Have owned other Hurtta products and this fits just as well as the Extreme winter and Combat jackets. The 20 fits my 55lb female German Shorthaired Pointer perfectly (muscular large chest and narrow waist). Quality is as good as it should be at this price point. Basically, this is a mid weight long John. Materials are similar to human ski/ outdoor gear. Obviously very well thought out features and attention to detail. Open rear end with good leg coverage without binding. Our use is as a base layer underneath an outer insulated jacket in northern Canada and the Alaskan interior with temps to -20 to -50F.

Hugo actually likes his coat and wants to wear it when it's cold. Unlike other dog clothing it doesn't slip around. One complaint: It's REALLY HARD to put on my wiggly canine. Since the zipper is on the back, he has to stand 100% still so I can pull the thing up around him all at once to then zip it. If there was a little button or hook or something at the collar so that I could fasten that and it would hold while I went to pull the back end of the garment up, that would be optimal. It's also a little long on him. But it's the only garment he has that keeps him warm on his legs and allows him to do his business. He's very sleek and handsome in his get-up. Overall, this is the best dog clothing we've tried. I'd love it if it weren't perfect, but we're pleased.

This looks really nice but it’s way too big. I measured according to the site so I’m a bit confused. Unfortunately, I need to return.

My pitbull is very athletic and also very sensitive to the cold. I put this on him for a late winter hike and it fit him perfectly. The waist adjustment was a pleasant surprise which helped tremendously since he has a small waist and broad chest. He didn’t shiver once! At one point he ran through a mud pit and I was nervous on what the effects of that would be. It did absorb more moisture than I would have liked. But no mud or debris reached his skin, and it washed looking brand new again. I’m very happy with this purchase.

I have a Hurtta raincoat I’ve used for my dog for years, and have been very pleased with the fit and quality. I wanted an underlayer to give some protection to my dog’s legs in the recent extreme cold (he has metal pins in his knee from prior surgery, and they seem to bother him in these ultra-low temperatures). So I ordered this Hurtta brand bodysuit. The fit is excellent (18M in both the raincoat and this bodysuit), and it seems well-constructed. It’s reasonably easy to put on. Although the fabric is fairly thin, I think the reflective inner surface will help with reflecting body heat back and blocking some wind chill. (And I intend to use a warm jacket over the top— this is really just to help protect his legs, as I mentioned above.) My only complaint is that the chest/shoulder area is binding. He has difficulty moving his front legs forward normally, and can only move around at a somewhat halting walk. Since I really only need this for short trips outside for bathroom breaks in subzero weather, that isn’t a deal-breaker. But if I had wanted to use it for actual walks/runs, it wouldn’t work. I considered sizing up, but I think the next size up would be much too baggy since my dog has a lean build.

Über die Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen und der Hund muss sich auch noch daran gewöhnen, den Body-Warmer zu tragen, aber die Passform ist super. Ich habe direkt auf Anhieb mithilfe der Tabelle die richtige Größe gefunden. Er ist sehr leicht und recht dünn, aber man merkt trotzdem sofort, dass es darunter warm wird! Mein Hund wird das Teil sicherlich bald lieben, weil er mit seinem dünnen Fell und ohne Unterwolle schon bei 10 Grad Außentemperatur anfängt zu frieren.

La verdad el material está muy bien, la hechura también. Vale la pena que si midas a tu perro para que compres la talla adecuada.

Excellent product. Excellent fit. Great for a Chinese Crested (like mine) and any dog that has the misfortune of being hairless.
