🧬 Dive into DNA: Where Learning Meets Fun!

Fun and educational
I bought this after I liked the Genes in a Bottle - DNA Necklace Kit from the same company. It was a very different activity, more like a puzzle, but my niece (10) liked seeing her DNA in the other activity, so I thought this would show her more about what DNA was. Its like a puzzle, you have to fit all the pieces together and it only goes together the "biologically correct" way, so she was learning as she went and it ends up being this big colorful squishy double helix just like she'd learned about at school. Its a great complement to the other activity.

Excellent prop to learn about DNA
As a biologist and the mother of an 8 year old budding scientist, I am extremely pleased with this DNA model. Easy-to-assemble, kid-friendly foam. My son made it by himself, with the assistance of his 3 year old sister. Cool facts on the box.He used it as a prop for his science fair poster about DNA, as well as the "Genes in a bottle" kit (extract your own DNA and wear it around your neck!). He was beyond thrilled about it all, and attracted a lot of interested parents and children around his poster!

but is easy to store once assembled since it folds flat
This model is large enough for an entire class to see, but is easy to store once assembled since it folds flat.

Very nice kit. Even my young kids could figure out how this "puzzle" worked!

Great for Visually Impaired Student
It worked very well for my student who is visually impaired. The foam nucleotides would fit together only one way and that is exactly what I needed for this student. Even the other students enjoyed working with it. My granddaughter spent some time working with it as well and she is 4. It would be too expensive to provide one to each student but I was looking for something to teach DNA replication to someone who could not view videos or board drawings. For one person it was well worth the cost.
