I have absolutely no idea what pine car derby is. I bought this as a dry lubricant to put in guitar nut slots to eliminate strings gripping while tuning. It does an OK job at that task, but I think it'd do better if it was a finer grit for that application. With grippy bass strings though it works great. So I can't dock this product for not doing perfectly a job it wasn't designed to do, but it works well enough most of the time. But wannabe guitar techs looking for a cheap solution for gripping strings, might want to look elsewhere :)

I found this to be a superior quality product. Everyone is my den is using similar products. My son's car came in third in his den. I do think other attention to detail is required to make your car win.The most important thing to remember is to fix the wheels correctly. If you have done that, you stand greater chances of winning.

An employee was complaining about their key not working in the door when it was cold outside.Although this graphite lube has some kind of pine derby thing on it I've been using graphite for door locks for a really long time now, so this was an easy solution.I applied generously to my key, shoved in door lock, did some lock-unlock cycles, applied again and repeat until the door lock felt smooth as butter.Since then I've had no problems with employees having key problems regardless of ambient temperatures.

Good product but I needed something not that dry. I did not read the description correctly as it clearly states it'S Dry graphite. In fact, it's graphite powder.I have mixed some with petroleum jelly and it's perfect for my use.Came in on time, good seller, =good product, just not exactly what I needed but that'S my own fault

Bought it for the lock on my door. Key goes in like a hot knife in butter. Love. It.

I bought this as a general-purpose graphite lubricant, not for pine cars, so I can't comment on how it works for them. For general use it works well!
