The first one I recieved the reverse function did not work but the company emailed me and sent me a new one to replace the original one and now it works great

I bought this product only because it was cheap and thought it would be a good add to my white truck in the winter months. It fit nicely on my tailgate and plugged into my trailer hook up. I am hoping the tape will hold in the winter months. The reverse light I wasn't going to use but I had help from others on how to hook that up. The reverse light doesn't seem the bright to me. I could go without if needed. I knocked it down one star because there really isn't that good of instructions that come with it. I will update if needed after its been on for awhile.

My husband is an certified truck mechanic and has been playing the repair game for over thirty years....he now is a successful shop owner. The wire colors being incorrect is not actually a real big deal for him...he had that figured out in about 10 second. The real issue is that when you use the blinker, the whole light strip will flash. The non turning side is not as bright as the side you are turning on but is still very visible. He planned to hard wire this in so had already cut the wires.. we'll have to eat the 20 bucks I spent on this for a Christmas gift. He absolutely will not use it as is. Yes he is just now getting around to installing it in May. Mechanics stuff is always the last to get worked on you know.

The lines on the backup camera disappear when this was installed into the trailer harness and the eco function won't work, due to the truck believing a trailer is attached. If you don't have a newer truck with these options, not a problem. Otherwise, the light provides additional warning to rear traffic and makes your vehicle look pretty sweet with minimal effort.

Great product looks great. install was easy, tape was more than enough to keep it in place.
