Seriously the most comfortable
If you're spending the money to buy these it means quality is important to you. There is a lot of professional grade ear protection in the market, I've used several different brands over the past couple years and these by far are my favorite. It's not just the noise reduction, for me it's the comfort. Nothing is worse that uncomfortable ear protection that get oily, irritate your skin, or are not comfortable with your glasses or eye protection. The gel seals on these IMO are the best. I wear mine at work, I pull them off and on several times through out the day and wear them for long periods as well. Bar none these are the best. Just saying...

DOA for us
I own several pairs of nicer, noise cancelling headsets that I use for shooting. This pair was purchased for my wife to use at an indoor range. The NRR looked promising and it appeared to have decent reviews. When I first tested them by clapping to cut out the sound impulse, they did not work. I thought we would take them to the range and test them properly though. When we started shooting I could tell my wife was puzzled. She said they were loud and wanted to switch them out immediately. I put them on and let her shoot and noticed that while they were amplifying the conversation and other sounds, they were not blocking any shot impulse. It was almost painful to hear with. Batteries were fresh and I tried different volume settings. We immediately returned them for a full refund. I will stick to my 3m/Peltors for now. Hope this helps you make up your mind.

Must Buy!
Incredibly comfortable with the new Gel Ear Seals, while maintaining a solid NRR rating of 26. These hearing muffs don’t hit my stock when I shoulder my shotgun either because of the contoured fit. The sound quality is excellent and there is no “breaking up” with the new and improved compression technology. Nice new model from Pro Ears. Made in the USA and 5 year warranty. Can’t go wrong-you get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

Work well.
These are perfect for indoor ranges. Like them very much. They are comfortable, good seal even with glasses . For out side ranges even better except for hot days 90+ they feel hot. I'm happy with them and would buy them again.

Cups come off at the worst time, poor fit doesnt stay secure
use these professionally. Cups come off at the worst time, poor fit doesnt stay secure. Decent protection and sound quality. Pro ears charge a premium over other electronics, just disappointed in quality

Good sound. Gets loose over time and fails to block sound. Cumbersome battery compartment.
The sound quality is very good. Adjusting the ears to a normal level and walking around, everything sounds normal with minimal distortion and only slight hiss. Loud noises do not cause the ears to shut off, but reduce volume so you can still hear while loud noises are occurring. It's more subtle than I expected; so much so that you don't realize they're doing anything until you take the ears off.The fit is firm (but fades drastically over time) and it needs to be to block sound. Although it fits tightly to my head, they feel comfortable and don't crush my earlobes like my old muffs. The battery compartment is accessed from inside each ear cup. The acoustic foam inside the cup must be removed, batteries swapped, and the foam returned to the original position. While there is a flap in the foam, the foam pulls out from under the ear cups so easily that the entire foam piece needs to be carefully and meticulously put back in place under the ear cup. After using these for 2 months, the foam is already deforming and becoming difficult to put back in to place. This is made worse by the need to frequently change batteries. The switches have a habit of turning on while inside my range bag, and although they are supposed to auto-shut-off after a period of time, I always find dead batteries on my next trip to the range. This wouldn't be a surprise for $40 earpro, but I expected better from ProEars.A note about batteries: ProEars states that the use of rechargeable batteries will void the warranty. What a shame.UPDATE: After 18 months I've given up on these. The headphones don't seal well allowing noise in which required me to wear ear plugs but the gain on the headphones is insufficient to be heard over the plug, so I may as well not have electronic muffs.
