Raw Shea Butter, THE BEST PRODUCT EVER the PLUS? ORGANIC!
UPDATE: June 2015I am updating this product as of June 2015. My hands are healing with this. My nails and cuticles are growing due to the protection. Use at night and morning. A little goes a long way so use sparingly. I love this so much and use daily. This is for men as well. Guys, A little goes a long way. Soften your hands elbows feet, body. Lovely, light fragrance, not too much. A must have for skin care for men and women.I no longer keep in the fridge. The AC will keep it from melting in container. Grab half teaspoon full, put in palm and rub, it will melt enough to apply this way. My new fave, even though I will use other hand lotions throughout the day. I will purchase again, however, this size will last and last. Lovely texture, smell, product and results. Hope this helps you, this comes from someone who loves gardening and going barefoot, so I need help! This does the trick. I am hoping in Winter my hands will not crack at the fingernail! Good luck!Hi, well this is impressive. Yes is is solid, it will, like coconut, melt with the heat of your hands. I live in a really hot climate and keep it in the fridge until I am ready to use it. I do scoop it out with a silver spoon, that will forever belong to this jar so as not to contaminate the contents. I do this for my coconut oil as well.It is a lovely product, creamy, smells divine, and yes I would and will be re-ordering it again. It is a large size, and will last a very long time. Your skin softens up right away. I love to garden and my hands show it. This is perfect, it "calms" down my hurt, rough, like sandpaper, hands. I use it nightly and during the day as well. I do not find it greasy at all once it sinks into the skin. I am very picky about creams. Love organic food and all things natural. Love this brand. A good choice. I have gone broke trying to find the right mix and products for my skin sometimes, and I believe I have finally found something that will heal, soothe and keep it that way.

Amazing product, awesome company!
This is an excellent product & one I'd highly recommend. The seller, Perfect Body Harmony also offers excellent customer service, which is often not the case with many companies. They have emailed me a few times to make sure the product arrived safely & also to check back to see if I liked the Shea butter. I don't write many reviews, but the company emailed me & asked me to kindly share my opinion of the product I had purchased, so I will! First of all, I am a makeup artist & a bit of a skin care expert. I have tried several raw, unrefined African Shea Butters from various brands over the years, & this is definitely the best yet!! I love that this shea butter is USDA certified organic, because let's face it, anyone can claim to have an organic product. But if it's not USDA certified, then the organic claim means nothing. I also really like the dark jar packaging because antioxidants break down when exposed to light & air, and shea butter is packed with antioxidants-- especially the raw, unrefined type. Because of the nature of pure, unrefined, raw shea butter (its consistently, etc.), it unfortunately has to be packaged in a jar, which does expose it to air, but at least the dark colored jar stops unnecessary exposure to light which would further deteriorate the antioxidants. I try to scoop out what I need quickly & put the lid back on to limit its exposure to air. I also always wash my hands and then use hand sanitizer before scooping my fingers in, which might sound excessive, but not only do light & air break down antioxidants, but bacteria does as well. Not to mention it's just gross to introduce bacteria into the jar & then spread it around on yourself. Ok, on to the actual product. As I said, I've tried raw, unrefined shea butter from many sources, and I've also used others that were USDA certified organic. However, all USDA certified organic raw, unrefined shea butters are NOT created equal. Perfect Body Harmony's shea is absolutely my favorite because the consistency of it is awesome, it's not gritty like many others I've used. It also smells good to me--I didn't like the smell of raw shea butter when I first started using it years ago, in fact I hated it! But, I actually began to like the smell eventually, and I also learned that some raw, unrefined shea butter smells much more pungent than others. The Perfect Body Harmony shea has an earthy, nutty aroma that I very much like. The scent isn't nearly as strong as some other shea butters I've used either. However, there are many ways to mask the smell if you don't like it. You can mix it with your body lotion, or (my personal fave) u can add to it a few drops of your fave essential oil. If you want to just use this really quickly, all you have to do is scoop some out (with clean fingers or a clean spatula) and then rub it back & forth in your hands, which will soften it up to immediately use it. I personally like to take just a few minutes to soften it to perfection. My absolute favorite way to use this is to warm it up by placing the jar in front of my tiny fan heater that I keep in my bedroom. I just let the heat from the fan blow on it for 3-5 minutes while I'm brushing my teeth, etc., & then the consistency turns so buttery & divine!!! Just the very top layer in the jar gets soft when I warm it up this way. You could also use your blow dryer to soften it, & that would have the exact same effect. You can scoop it out first to soften it, or just soften it in the jar. It doesn't matter because even if the top layer in the jar gets really soft & u don't use that much, it'll just harden right back up again stored back at room temperature. The longer the heat blows on it, the softer it gets. So depending on how soft you want it, or if u want it to be an oily consistently, just let the warm air blow on it longer. I do this every morning now, & I rub the warm, wonderfully softened shea butter all over my feet & then put on cotton socks. Then I rub it on my legs, elbows, arms, anywhere that feels dry. I also put this on my face a few nights a week. I use a lot of AHA/BHA & retinol treatments, & my skin is often dry & flaky from the retinol. Using this product as an overnight mask is a Godsend. I always sleep on a dark colored pillowcase when I do this, to avoid any staining. I'm really looking forward to making some homemade whipped body butter with this, & I just know it will be amazing. Shea butter is oily feeling, but it soaks in pretty quickly & is extremely moisturizing. It's a great skin protectant as well, & heals dry, chapped lips wonderfully. I do chemical peels on myself, and using this product after a TCA or glycolic peel is seriously the most soothing, healing, gentlest thing you can apply to your skin post chemical peel!! I have also this in my hair as a mask mixed with my conditioner, & it made my dry, color-treated hair exceptionally hydrated and so soft. I hope you all enjoy this product as much as I have!
