This item would get FIVE stars from me if I didn't have to take the case off of my cell phone (Samsung Galaxy S5 Active) to make the "jaws" of the tripod mount fit around it! Really disappointing too because I can see that it's well made and would have done the job. Even though the description said it would fit the Samsung Galaxy S5, it would have saved me a lot of time if it had been stated that it only fits "naked" phones ... ones with no cases on them!Oops! Before I get myself in trouble, perhaps I should mention the type of case I use on my phone. It's a CASEFORMERS Duo Armor BLACK with Stand and Holster (an awesome case by the way, and it fits my model phone exclusively ... Samsung Galaxy S5 Active). So, in the event you use a thinner case on your S5 Active ... it could be one upon which the tripod mount could POSSIBLY fit. AND, I will be very jealous if that's the "case." lol

Grips should be about 1/4" longer to accommodate cell phones in their cases. I have a pretty slim case and I wish the mount had more bite. A little concerned about how secure it is while in mount. Would also be great if rotating between landscape and portrait, while phone is centered in mount, were possible without having to reposition the phone (the mount itself gets in the way). Second point is minor quibble, first one a little more serious - phones are expensive!!!

I have to take my S4 out of its' Otter box to use with this stand. A bit of a hassle. Once I've done so however it works fine. Recommend.

I was afraid this would not fit my I-phone 5s in the Oterbox Defender case, but it does. I is a tight fit, but it does work. I've only had it for a week or so and actually never used it other than trying it out to see if it works on my extended mount.

Product delivers as advertised. Easy to use. Ingenious Genie gets great marks for customer service. Kept me informed and followed up after the sales.

Too small for iPhone 6

Great device

This mount is excellent quality. I have an iPhone6 with a thin case. The phone is very secure and is easy to mount as well as remove. I recommend it to anyone who needs and adaptor like this. The vendor is also excellent. I received my purchase in record time! This is my second purchase of an adaptor from my tripod and iPhone so I do have previous experience and a different product to compare this purchase against.
