I just purchased the CSP Comprehensive Practice Exam Study Guide soft cover. At a glance, I like the way the guide is organized. The font is perfect, especially for long-term reading. Sections/chapters are not overly wordy-strait to the point. The math portions seem to be spot on; it covers of the formulas and equations from a variety of safety disciplines. The author even includes key strategic study tips. What’s more? When you purchase the guide, you will have an opportunity to receive a complementary study DVD shipped free.

The guide is easy to read and has good test options it would be nice to see where each subject corresponds to the domain offered by the BCSP and the percentage of questions that could be asked. I am also curious about the videos this email is also seeking for skills study.

I passed the CSP EXAM today. I read approximately 85 percent of the book and took the exam.

The practice exam in the book was much more difficult than the actual exam. To study I took the practice exam and looked up the answers. Then I made sure that I understood the concepts. Make sure that you memorize simple formulas for geometry and trigonometry. If you have done the job, a lot of it is common knowledge.

The video presentations are mostly worth their weight in gold.

This book does not help you with anything on the CSP exam. The topics are not even remotely close to what is on the exam and the practice questions are WAY off the mark. The book is clearly written by writers who are not subject matter experts and don’t know anything about the actual exam or safety in general. Maybe they looked up the blue print online and googled relevant material but it’s so far off the mark it’s almost laughable. Maybe it was written by a summer intern who volunteered as a life guard over the summer and their job involved “safety”Please save yourself the money and find another method to study.

I was encouraged to purchase this book by a co-worker. He mentioned how this book really help him prepared for the ASP exam. So far this book has helped me with things I did not know. Great book.
