Infanttech Smarttemp Wireless Bluetooth Baby Thermometer

SO WORTH THE MONEY! It works AMAZING! I had to read the reviews on the smarttemp app itself (in android playstore) to figure out how to get this to work, because the instructions do NOT tell you everything you need to know. I do firmly believe that is why this has negative reviews from people saying it doesn't work at all, or it would never connect...because they never figured it out. HERE IS WHY........***FIRST*** After downloading the application, go to your settings in your phone. Select applications, then select the smarttemp app. When you get there, go down to permissions and click and check ALL 3 permission boxes to give the app permissions.***SECOND*** Register on the app, then confirm your email real fast by checking your email and clicking the link. My email came in instantly.***THIRD*** Go back to the app, and log in. Then open the case, and attach the smarttemp thermometer to your childs under arm. When you open the case it automatically turns on and connects to your phone. (That is why you wait until now to do it, so (A) you dont drain the thermometer battery and (B) so its not causing issues by trying to connect prematurely.)***Fourth*** Turn your phone volume down, & plug it into a charger that is in the same room as your child. You will be leaving that phone near them all night, as long as you are using the smarttemp.**FIFTH** Now download the smarttemp app again, but this time on a phone that you can keep close to you, in your room, all night. (DO NOT RE-REGISTER) You will now log in with the same login info as the first time BUT you will do so after clicking on the "remote user" feature at the bottom of the smarttemp homepage. After logging in here, you should be completely done. You can set your high/low temperature alarms etc from the remote user feature, as well. It woke us up 2x at night telling us our daughter had a fever! It was AMAZING!!!!!

Although listed as OEM, the product comes with full instructions, carrying case, strap, and extra tape to secure the thermometer to the body. I used this for my 7-year-old son who has febrile seizures. After a quick account registration, downloading the smarttemp android app, I was able to continuously monitor my son's temperature throughout the day and night. The sensor is round protruding metal disc on the back side of the thermometer. It comes up about 1 mm. (see pic) Just ensure that when securing it to your child that the sensor is securely touching the skin. If you attaching it too loosely, it won't be able to monitor the temperature.Pros:Easy to use. Just download the app and it automatically finds the device. Some simple settings exist to set alarms for high and low temperatures, as well as an alarm for loss of Bluetooth connectivity.Waterproof! Fully submersible so you can wear it in the bath. I washed a few times, kept on working.Long lasting battery - I used this for 48 hours straight. Instructions say it should last a year. When the battery fails, I do plan on purchasing another. Not only does it provide real-time monitoring, but logs the temperature so I can see exactly when it spikes! Good for talking with the doctor.Cons: No way to replace the battery. This is because it is fully sealed to be waterproof. Limited Bluetooth distance (that's just how the technology works) so you have to be without about 15 ft. of the device.

This is way better than wrestling a toddler to get an armpit temperature with a standard thermometer. I also liked being able to monitor her temperature after putting her to bed without waking her.That being said, I don’t like 2 things. The directions are tiny, and when you’re holding a crying feverish baby and you’re trying to set the thing up, that’s not helpful. Maybe make them bigger. And the range isn’t very far. I could read it from outside her door and the couch if I outstretched my arm, but not from any farther. My headphones get further distance.

When I first bought this product, I didn't know what to expect. I couldn't log in to the accompanying app to connect. I emailed customer service and they fixed the error pretty quickly! I have an android phone (Galaxy S9) and they told me I had to allow permissions to get the app to find the device. It works really really well now. My 5year old daughter had a 72-hour virus and I had to take her to the doctor on Friday. It was nice to connect this to her while she slept. I also love that the temp is to 2 degrees. I'm 8 months postpartum, and breastfeeding (inconsistent sleep) so I plan on using it as a pseudo-BBT to log my own temps into FF. We aren't ATTC or ATTA. I just want to have a general idea of when my cycles will return. This little device seems perfect (and inexpensive for that!). I'm really happy with it. The phone does have to be kind of close to the product for continuous monitoring. For my daughter I would just stand outside her door (while she slept) to update her temp. It was really great to not have to wake her up every 30 minutes to take a temp reading.

Perfecto instrumento de medición de temperatura en tiempo real, lo recomiendo totalmente. es muy cómodo y preciso da tranquilidad al momento de tener con fiebre a uno de los niños de la casa.El único detalle es que la aplicaron que esta en PlayStore (SMARTEMP versión 1.11.2 del 3 de junio 2019) no funciona con dispositivos SAMSUNG tuve que probar con otra aplicación y funciona perfectamente la versión (SMARTEMP versión 1.9). Espero que la marca halla echo las correcciones del error ya que les informe el problema vía correo electrónico el 26/11/2019.

Never got to use the device because the app is no longer available on Google play store.i have a note 8, pretty new phone. Website says only android version 4 is supported..so if you have a phone newer than 5 years old you're out of luck I guess
