Water Rover Regular 4-Inch Bowl and 15-Ounce Bottle, Dark Blue

We just bought our third Water Rover in 12 years, and only one of the two older bottles is actually not usable anymore. The oldest bottle, which still works, is red. We just replaced the blue bottle because our first blue one developed a crack in its bowl (after repeated drops over a six-year period! Kirby's dad carries it by hand; I carry the red bottle in a sling, so less accidental drops!) We take these everywhere - on walks, on vacation, in the car, on visits. These bottles are very sturdy and practical. The best thing is that there's no trick to getting the water quickly into the bowl, just pull the plastic snap-cap off and the water flows in. The bowl is large enough for even the longest snouts and widest mouths to drink from comfortably, and any leftover water easily and quickly flows back into the bottle. Snap the cap back on, and no water is wasted or lost. The key words for us are "quick" and "easy". We've tried other water bottles that required pressure to release the water (too slow! Kirby would lose interest and find someone else's water to drink!) or had bowls that were too small or narrow, with no way to return remaining water back to the bottle without a steady hand and a funnel. You can even fill this bottle without removing the bowl, just take the snap-cap off and fill it using the bowl. Super handy for filling when the bottle won't fit vertically under the faucet, such as at a shallow sink or a water fountain spout.Our only complaint is that the snap-off cap never seems to last as long as the rest of the product. It has broken off of all of ours (and several of our friends') bottles after anywhere from 2 to 5 years. BUT, I have found a great replacement, and it works better than the snap-cap, which can get difficult to use if you don't have the hand strength for grasping and pulling. It's the "Rabbit Wine Bottle Stopper" by Metrokane. They come in assorted colors in 2-packs, and they fit perfectly. I've seen them at supermarkets, kitchen gadget stores, and of course Amazon has them too. So there is no need to buy a whole new bottle if it's just your cap that's broken. I love being able to extend the life of these useful and practical water bottles. 13 years coming up for the red one and still my favorite! (Note that the Dark Blue 5-1/4" Bowl & 26oz Bottle is not the item pictured in this photo. This looks like the LIGHT Blue, 4" Bowl, 15oz. bottle, which is cylindrical. The 26oz bottle is cone-shaped, wider at the bottom than at the neck.)

I've had these for years & LOVE them. Found em at a dog festival & no other products compare. Love it so much so that I googled them and tracked them down on Amazon to buy more. They are perfect: the filtered water I put in for my dogs does not go wasted, it fits perfectly in my bag on the go, take up lil space in the car, super convenient, my dogs take to them easily & they are very durable. Great my for my chihuahua & my rottie. Im a dog lover and love any dog product that makes life easier- with quality. Thank you Rover inventors!!!

I rarely review products but after six years of this product holding up to me and my dogs, I felt it deserved one. The bottle and dish are as sturdy as the day I unpackaged them. This is the only portable dog dish my hard luck rescue dog will drink out of. He hates the flimsy foldup dishes. I love that I can pour out water into the bowl and seal it. I love that I can unscrew the bowl from the bottle and get a drink, when I need one. I love that it hooks on any waistband or belt. I love the size, which is just enough for a two mile city walk. And, I absolutely love that it does not leak. Thank you G4 Ventures for this well thought out product.

Only issue is that after awhile, the small hole above the water hole will open up, which allows for the water to splash all over when walking with it.Also, the lid flap breaks after a bit as well. But for the time that they work, they are wonderful. They should offer just to buy replacement lids, as it is a waste to throw the bottle out when the issues are always just with the lid/cup.

It's a very good water supply. It's compact and east to transport. I just hand it on my back pocket. The plug that keeps the water from spilling is the weak part of the design. The plug wears out and the lip of the plug eventually tears as well as the attachment that connects the plug to the bowl cover to the container

This was exactly what I was looking for. It’s so nice not to have to carry a container of water.

I actively prefer this bowl for my flat-faced breeds, but fair warning, the design definitely has some issues.-It can be a bit tricky to screw on the top, but you must get it right, otherwise it is going to leak all over your car.-The bowl plug can be hard to open and close, especially when you're trying to open it one handed...because you have a dog on a leash in the other hand.-About that plug...don't expect it to stay attached to the rest of the bowl very long! The stress of opening and closing quickly wears out the thin plastic which attaches the plug to the rest of the lid. I melted it back on once, which worked for a month or so, but then it snapped off again, and it disappeared, rendering the Water Rover absolutely useless.-Mold. Because this bowl allows backwash into the bottle, and then you seal it up tight, if you accidentally leave it in the car for a day or two, it gets gross smelling fast. Gotta wash it out each time as soon as we get home.I do like that the 4 inch size fits in cup holders, that my dog can get a drink easily, and that if the water isn't dirty, we can make it last longer, and that the bottle opening is wide enough to put ice cubes in to keep it colder longer.

just the right size for my small dog. likes drinking from it and conveniently pours back in so there is no waste of water while on a walk, wide enough to put ice cubes in, so it stays colder, longer when we are out for a walk in the summer heat also lightweight to carry

Bought this to take on walks with my dogs. They both love it and drink from it. The small one is perfect to carry or clip onto a belt or your pants.

I love this product. No wasted water while walking as the water goes back into the bottle. Also use it for travelling in the car or in a hotel instead of a water bowl. Bottle fits in most car cup holders. Easy to clean and refill.
