A good option for me
First, here is a disclaimer: I'm not a hairdryer expert. I've use them seldom over the years and I often let my hair air-dry. I wanted to upgrade the very basic one I had been using sporadically for the past few years, looked at a few options and decided on this one. I'm sure there are plenty of other comparable options, but I'm happy with my purchase. First impressions: right out of the box, the hairdryer has a nice, professional design. It doesn't look cheap and seems rather sturdy. The color is nice, and I loved having several accessories included in the box. I also appreciate that it has a negative ion function - none of the hairdryers I had owned in the past had it but I had read about it and wanted to make sure my new dryer had this feature to prevent hair damage (this is one of the reasons I never used air dryers much in the past). I have a lot of undisciplined baby hair that drive me crazy because they are so unruly. I've only used my new hair dryer a few times, but love that the flyaways appear to be a lot more tame with it! I also appreciate that there are 3 heat settings, two speed levels that will help with styling, and a 'cold shot' function. I think it's clear by now that I'm not someone who's particularly fancy with her hair drying, but maybe in time I'll learn to make the most of all the functions! I have a head full of hair (though it is thinning a bit now) and I love how quickly this dries my hair. It's definitely powerful enough for my needs! Ergonomically speaking, it is not heavy and fits comfortably in my hand. This is the nice hair dryer I've owned, and it makes me want to blow-dry my hair more! On a more neutral side, it is neither louder nor quieter than other hair dryers I've used. Lastly, I wouldn't recommend it for traveling as it is not exactly compact.

Great dryer - quieter than expected
I've got fairly thick (yet fine) shoulder length hair. It has natural wave and tends to frizz if dried with too much heat. I use the diffuser & medium setting to encourage wave and to dry the hair closest to my scalp. I don't like leaving the house with that wet-head feeling. Overall drying time (ends are still a little bit damp) is 4-5 mins. The rest air-dries quickly. This is the best hair-dryer I've tried. It's quieter and lighter than expected. The multiple heat & air options mean I can dial it in to do exactly what I want, such as using a round brush to curl sections. This is not a travel model. It's too big to fit into luggage when all you're using is a carry-on. It's more of a checked luggage sized model.

Good hairdryer but life span questionable
Loved the hair dryer while it was working. It lasted 3.5 years. I don't think that's reasonable so I'll look for a different brand this time.

Efficient drying and easy to handle
I just used this hair dryer for the first time and am very pleased. The cord is long and has a velcro strap which makes it convenient for storing. The hair dryer itself is lightweight which makes for easy handling and doesn't tire my arm/hand out. I have thick hair which usually takes a long time to dry, this hair dryer cut the time down significantly. I found the switches to be conveniently placed and intuitive. When I blow dry my hair I section it out and so I am constantly turning my hair dryer off and on. I got to the point that I didn't have to look at the switch, I could just flip it on with my thumb and go. The concentrator snapped on securely and stayed in place. There was no need to adjust it from turning as some attachments will do and it doesn't get bumped off easily. I felt like the concentrator was very effective and well designed for achieving it's purpose of concentrating air flow, as it's name suggests. I have not yet used the diffuser, I do not have curly hair so I don't believe it will be as useful to me, but I appreciate having the option. The air flow is strong when set to high and I felt like the heat was sufficient to get the job done without burning. The vent on the back looks sleek and easy to clean as opposed to my old hair dryer which required tweezers to pick out bits of lint. The vent on this hair dryer is twofold, there is metal mesh attached to the hairdryer itself and then a second layer that you can detach to clean. I expect this design will keep the hair dryer from getting clogged with lint. I would recommend this hair dryer for it's sleek design and feel, efficiency, sturdiness, and ease of use.

Nice upgrade from our old JINRI. Does the job while being lighter.
We bought the JINRI model# JRI-104AII back in March 2017. It worked great up to last week. Regardless if I had the switch set to low or high, the only speed was high. It still works and we'll keep it as a backup. This new one (JINRI model# JRI-108I) is the same wattage (1875w), but with two nice improvements. First, it is noticeably lighter, which is nice for my wife. Second, the power cord is 30" shorter. That may sound like a problem, but the old one was overkill. The length of this power cord is more than enough. The one attachment (the small one that concentrates the air) goes on tight, so it's not as easy to adjust, but no biggie. The same attachment from the old one would fit but it was very loose and would probably have fallen off when I turned the dryer on. I only used to once, so I'll report back in a few months with an update.

Great heat settings, and it stays relatively cool to the touch after five minutes of continued use at a time!

Good dryer while it lasted. Very light and powerful. However after less than one year (11 month) it started to make a grinding noise. Opened it to see that all the fan blade started to break at the base and were touching the case while spinning (see pictures). Some people reported this problem in other review. 3 stars for the durability compared to the expensive price paid! No mention of warranty on the jinri official website.
