The manufacturer's description is for the "pro" models.
I assumed the "accuway" system was included since the manufacturer's descriptor included that detail. After reviewing their website, it was made clear this function as well as the lifetime warranty does NOT apply. Just don't be fooled. I cannot say who's responsible for including the wrong information, Amazon, the distributor, or the manufacturer? It could be simply a mistake but keep in mind you are getting the least capable spreader from this manufacturer. Not that this is a bad product! On the contrary, its design and construction at the price point are exemplary. It's just not an apples to apples comparison to their "pro" line-up.The photo shows the half shell opened on the gear drive. Since there aren't any grease fittings like the 'pro" models and the warranty is limited to one year an inspection was in order. Note: the red grease on the drive gear which will require at least annual service. I can't tell if the shaft has any sort of bushing, if not that will be the first failure point. We'll see if this outlasts my Scotts...lasted over twenty years until a cable broke. Still it was mostly plastic so nothing to rust or fail prematurely. I'd still be using it if Scott sold replacement parts.

Good spreader
I added the diffuser kit and the side blocker. Works well after those additions.

Heavy duty, reliable spreader - with its faults (updated)
This is really an awesome spreader - especially compared to the plastic wheeled ones. It throws the formulation in an impressive manner - spreading it wide and evenly. I love the positive on/off - that made it worth getting! After it arrives, you will want to lube things up a little with pump oil (this goes a long ways - especially with the gate control!). Do not skip this step - makes a big difference. The support tubes (they keep the spreader upright when not moving) get in way. In other words, the handle is at too much of an upward angle. This only gets awkward when going up a hill. I'm looking at ways that I can fix this. Not a huge deal, but it does make quite a difference.Everything else feels great about it.----------------------------- Revision as of 2/10/2014:Couple of things: first, the support tubes haven't seemed to bother me a lot during application. The biggest time that I notice it is on grades. Second, I have noticed that it seems to favor the left side in terms of application amount. The difference between the right and left is noticeable and replicable. I have made sure that everything is clean, and have failed to see anything that would seem to make a difference, but again I can see the dichotomy. This is a blessing in disguise when going around the edge of a stand of turf, but otherwise forces one to alternate directions (which isn't bad at all anyway).Overall I haven't had any problems with the mechanical functions on it which are holding out well. The included cover has proved very nice and practical. I believe the construction is built of both powder coated steel and some stainless steel. It and the tires seem are holding up well so far.The biggest problem that I see with this spreader is the dial setting. It is not an Ortho dial-it-and-go setup. I often refer to the end of the manual ([...]) for a general reference of what to dial it to but have found it to often be on the sparse side and end up, many times, just eyeballing it. That obviously is NOT a precise way to apply product, but seems to be the best I can do without labouriously setting up a test plot each time. I've done it (turf treatment) for a number of years now, and have a rough feeling for what I should see which helps.

Wish it was a little bigger
Seems to push easily... could use longer handle, I feel it's to short.

Good with short-comings
A nice piece of equipment. It may be made in America but it looks like all Chinese parts, especially the metric nuts and bolts. There's too much slop in the lever/rod assembly that works the hopper door but it still works. The tires work well but stink like a Harbor Freight store...more Chinese crap. The rear legs are too long and interfere while pushing the spreader. If they were about 3" shorter it would work better. Still with all these short-comings, it's much better than all the Big Box junk out there.A note here. When I got the unit assembled, I clear-coated all of the metal parts with clear Krylon spray paint. When I'm done using it I dust off (don't spray with water!) the excess fertilizer and then spray with WD40 to protect it. I did/do all of this because the fertilizer is an oxidizer and corrodes metal like crazy. Especially in a humid environment like Florida.

Great product!
This is a robust, easily-assembled spreader that made short work of a large lawn. It is obviously well-made and the pneumatic tyres make it easy to control over the lumps and bumps. Don't waste your money on those daft things you see in garden centres. It isn't perfect. however. It works OK for relatively coarse products, but a filter for fine products would be useful. So would a hand grip for turning off the spreader when you are going round corners etc
