Out of the package one elastic was already busted (at the foot). I put them on and in 15 minutes one gold button had already dropped to the floor (only glued on). I didn't expect the highest quality for this price but I certainly didn't expect them to fall apart in the first 15 minutes of wear!

They were somewhat large on me, but I have some rather short legs. Other then that they fit like glove! I have a mad love for spats, so I'm just gonna wear them all the time!

How the product worked, looked and felt was OK. It wasn't expensive, so I can't complain there.However, several of the buttons started coming off after several hours of wearing, without even knowingly rubbing up against anything. Therefore I was wrestling between giving it a 2 or a 3, based on durability. I decided on a 2 because of he price; again, which wasn't bad, but for something which was essentially a one-time-use product, I'd have liked to see something under the $10 price point.If the buttons didn't fall off, I'd give it a 4 star rating.

So I was a Jedi this past halloween, and like most, I couldn't afford a full costume, so I pieced together something. I saw these and figured I could use these with the combination of an old pair of boots to give the appearance of a larger "jedish" boot. And it worked! So for what I needed it for it did the trick...Pro's: Fit as expected. It was decently priced. Speedy delivery.Con's: Though they show buttons in the picture, these are in fact velcro. Not a huge problem I just didn't seen any indication in the description that that's what I was getting. Also I think I was sent two left leg's. I took a while for me to figure out how to put them on.Conclusion: For what they are and what you're paying for they work just fine. I'll tweak these a bit for my costume next year (pop off or paint the buttons as they're just there for decoration anyway)

These are fabric with a felt-texture. They aren't even faux-suede. (see photo)Fine for a stage-prop, and may appear "suede" from about 20 feet, but these are plain felt fabric.They have a line of velcro that runs vertically behind the "buttons".The image also shows the bottom covering the top of the boots, but mine came straight down and did not flare out in any way to do as the pictures show.

purchased these for my hubby for his pirate themed Halloween costume they worked great and have not come apart at all. The velcro makes them versatile - I could also wear them if I wanted to (he is 5'10 and I am 5'5). My calves are larger than his and they fit us both. Not for rough play but perfect for greeting kids at the door or in this case at a "trunk or treat" event.

Pretty much exactly what they're shown to be--took me some time to guess which one was left and which was right, but for an inexpensive costume accessory to replace expensive knee-high boots, these are pretty cool. The buttons are fake--the spats are closed with Velcro, making them easy to take off and put on. No complaints so far. If you're going to be doing a lot of moving around, dancing or fighting, you might want to add your own velcro band to the top of them, to make sure they stay held up--mine felt slightly loose around the very top band which uses elastic to stay in place--walking normal they stay on, but precautions depending on what you're doing. All in all, I think they're definitely fair quality for the low price.

Disclaimer: I am a lady, with lady-sized legs. This was a great touch to complete a steampunk-themed costume without paying for actual boots that might not comfortable to walk around in all day. I was worried that they might slip down over time but they stayed perfectly all day, both sitting and standing. On larger legs, I can only imagine they'll be just as secure unless they are too tight to fit. I got lots of compliments on my outfit. No trouble with buttons falling off etc, but they are just glued on as someone mentioned. Should be easy to repair if any come loose.Where you see the buttons, there's a velcro closure underneath from top to bottom. Easy to open the whole thing up and wrap around your calf. There's an elastic band at the top that goes behind the leg and another band that hooks under your shoe heel.
