Latex mould; latex moulds will produce far more intricate shapes than rigid moulds, can be used with plaster, resin, wax, concrete , chocolate or ice, comes complete with a plastic support plate to suspend the mould whilst contents set and instructions of use. If used for candle making with hot wax , DO NOT allow the wax to harden overnight as it makes the candle difficult to remove. If candle making use approx 50mm wicking (with beeswax use a square beeswax wick), limit wax temperature 82C/180F and below. DO NOT use alcohol based fragrances or stearin with this mould, as breakdown of latex will occur, great definition using natural beeswax, lubricate the inside of the mould with silicon oil or silicon spray or rub over with fairy liquid before pouring the wax at lowest possible temperature. Candles should be removed before 100% cooled, if left to cool too long, it will make removing the candle more difficult, and possibly tear the mould. With practise, you will find it is easier to remove the candle when it has barely just set, eg the wax in the mould is firm, but still malleable with some warmth in the candle, however you must take care not to squeeze the soft wax out of shape, If left overnight it will be difficult in removing the candle. Clean excess wax from mould and wash after use, if storing for long term dry thoroughly and sprinkle some talc over the surfaces, Store without items on top or the mould will distort after time. NB.It is important to lubricate the outside of the mould to aid removal, this is easily done with a small amount of washing up liquid, allowing the mould to be peeled back from the candle, otherwise you may easily tear the mould.
