Nice design

This started leaking almost immediately. Metal is so thin there aren’t even two threads to screw shower head onto it. Unfortunately I ordered it months before it was installed or I would have returned it for sure. My loss! China company gain, again!

I have updated two bathrooms in my home and both showers I have used this valve...nice looking and easy to install...great value for the money!

Used for a remodeled shower, easy to install however, after just 1 year, when I removed the shower head for cleaning and attempted to reinstall, discovered the threads were stripped and the shower head will not go back on securely.

I wanted to add a rain shower head that was adjustable in location. I want the rain head to be able to swing over the bench and also move to the main shower area. This is a large 5'x6' shower. This arm was 1 part that allowed me to accomplish that. I used this arm and a  Kingston Brass K217A8 Designer Trimscape Showerscape 17-Inch Raindrop Shower Arm, Satin Nickel  purchased from Amazon along with a Mosmatic Swiss made SS Rotary Union that would allow the KES arm to swing in 360° circle.The KES arm is very nicely finished but there is one thing that could be improved. The 1/2" NPT threads are too long and also are not tapered as expected for pipe threads. This is not a problem for most people because the square flange will cover up the excess threads but for my installation I needed all the threads to be hidden within the rotary union so that only SS would be visable. I corrected this by using a 1/2" NPT die to re-cut the threads and then a hacksaw to shorten the threaded portion of the nipple. The photo shows the adapter and the tools used for the modification.The 1/2" NPT adapter at the end of the arm uses an o-ring to seal on the arm. It should be removed with a 10mm hex wrench; and then use the hex wrench to tighten the 1/2" NPT threads into the receiver (for most people that would be the female coupling at the wall). Then re-attach the arm to the o-ring adapter and snug it up. If you try to tighten NPT threads by turning the arm; the o-ring will probably be damaged. That is not a failing of the KES arm; it is what is normally expected with an o-ring seal. Improper tightening and damaging the o-ring is probably why some people have had leaks.

Does seem lower quality but yet still durable. Do I see myself having to replace this item in the future? Yes. Near future? No. For now it’ll serve its purpose to hold my 12x12 LED Rainshower(I’ll post a pic once it’s installed) came with end wall cap(sorry for he person who didn’t receive theirs, made me skeptical about mine lol), the matte black finish complements my rainshower shower head real well, very pleased, great price!

You won’t find better in its price range.

Great if you know what you are doing. All the reviews I read before buying this made me concerned, but we installed a brass fitting into a stud to support it and it is very sturdy. No leaks or any other issues since buying in May. We have a 12" rain shower head attached similar to the stock photos. Great overall.

Comes as described. Extremely fast shipping. Good quality and value. We needed an arm that would give us that rainfall shower function. A bit tight to screw on our shower head, but otherwise install was quite easy.
