Good piece of gear for extending the swim season
I have worn these gloves during numerous swim workouts in both freshwater lakes and salty bays. In water 62°F or above, I tend to find them unnecessary and over 65° uncomfortably warm. I swam about a half mile today in 60° and they were great. The lowest temp I've used them was about 55° and I was perfectly comfortable. They provide a little extra surface area for your pull, but I think that's counteracted by resistance. I was no faster or slower than my swim partner today. In all, the 5 star rating I gave is legit. They are the last piece of gear I'll use as the temps drop (full suit then neoprene cap then socks then gloves) but they certainly make a difference.

Worked well for me!
I'm a lean marathon swimmer that struggles with cold water acclimation. The last few weeks I've had to end swims early because my arms, hands, and feet were painful and numb - frustrating because other swimmers of all levels don't seem to have the same problems with temperature. I bought these gloves because I needed a way to keep my hands warm and my mind on the swim - but I absolutely refuse to wear webbed gloves (seems like cheating). I also don't wear a wetsuit, for the same reason. It was a warm, sunny weekend, so that likely helped, but I really think these gloves made the difference for me this week. My hands stayed warm even in the cold parts of the lake, and I was able to focus on swimming instead of being distracted by pain/cold. (Water temp 76F, I know I'm weak! But I was numb within 20 minutes when I got in the lake in the morning without gloves.) The gloves fit well; I'm a woman with average sized hands and I was happy with size small. They didn't alter my stroke, drag, or assist my stroke in any way. I was skeptical of spending 40 bucks on these, but one hour into my five hour swim I knew they were worth every cent!

Really good in winter ocean swimming
I was a bit wary of swimming in 55 degree ocean water with these. I swim year round in Long Beach and have worn a full wetsuit the past year along with a good cap. I swim for about 40 minutes. The gloves work really well. I was surprised they kept my hands as warm as they do - especially with both my face and feet pretty darn cold. So, they do get mildly soggy, but not enough to make a difference as in making your hands heavy. I find that due to the closure around the wrist, they also keep water from entering your wetsuit arms. A big plus. So my arms feel warmer as result. They dry out in the sun and I rinse them after swimming in fresh water. They seem very durable and so far (one month) they have not lost any shape or size. I don't know how long they will "last," but I recommend them for winter swimming.

Hands too small.
Sizing isn’t right for me and I am returning the gloves. When I wear gloves, it's size XS, eg. in Solumbra Sun Precautions brand sun protection gloves. They have a comprehensive range of sizes, from XXS to XXL. I think Blueseventy should consider making more sizes. Small and Large for gloves and booties is too broad. I gave the gloves 3 stars because they are nice gloves if they fit. I used them once, to swim in open water, the drag was very fatiguing and hard on arms and shoulders.

They fit perfectly
I ordered these for mom. She is a senior but finds the public swimming pool far too cold and her arthritis makes it hard to move. She finds these gloves protect her hands from the cold water and helps her stay warm and less affected after. I ordered large, and although she is petite at a little over 5 feet, the XL Fit fine.

Great for Norcal Surfing & Swimming
These gloves had made a few of both my surfing and open water swimming friends jealous! These gloves work great in water in the high 40s, low 50s, and for both surfing and swimming. There is no webbing between the fingers so they will not make your strokes more powerful, but they do a good job of keep my hands warm. I've also worn them biking when I was not able to find my normal gloves. They seem like they are pretty durable and high-quality and will last for a while.

My experience with Blueseventy Thermal Swim Glove
These Blueseventy Thermal Swim Glove - For Triathlon Training and Cold Open Water Swimming are perfect. Light-weight, easy to put on and off, all just fine for those who are perfectly healthy. I suffer from the Raynoud's syndrome, which means my hands loose warmth easily and the blood flow stops, leaving the hands blue-white, with no sensation. This is a medical issue with which nothing can be done so far. These swim gloves cannot resolve the problem, of course, although I did hope for a miracle. For anyone who has no health limitations, they will be absolutely perfect. I use them for my winter swimming and they surely help to keep my hands warm a bit longer!

These work and are notably better than older Blueseventy webbed thermal gloves.
Much better than webbed older generation Blueseventy swim gloves. These keep my hands warmer, stay on better and are much more comfortable for long open water swims. Webbed gloves put too much strain on my shoulders for 2.5 miles daily swims. They are not very warm but they knock the chill out. I am a very petite woman and the small thermal gloves are a bit big but work ok. I just wish that the size range was wider and that the small were a bit smaller.

Quality product
The gloves are thin, and I could feel the cold pretty quickly (swimming in 4-7 degrees Celsius water) but they protected my hands well enough. They’be been in use a couple of times a week for over a month now and are holding up well.

Filtra agua, no neopreno, frío
