Does this toaster butter the toast as well? How well does it cook the eggs and bacon? For $250, I hope it does it well.

yes, it butters both sides of the toast in such a way as your hands never get messy. the eggs and bacon (and sausage if you prefer) are done to perfection. i fired my cook when i bought this toaster.

We’ve had our for about 6 months. On the bottom of the toaster where the serial number plate is, ours states “Designed in Italy, made in PRC”. So it’s made in China. Having said that, we’re very happy with our toaster, have had no issues with it whatsoever. It’s easy to clean, well made and I’d have no problem recommending it to you to purchase. As someone who reads these reviews and makes a decision based on how people rate, this was a good purchase for us. We also bought the kettle, and ended up buying the SMEG immersion blender. All good products and no issues. Hope that helps you decide.

Rear tray opens once PUSH button is pressed. But when you slide it in, it does not lock in. Any Hints?

Mine is 110 and if you want 220 recommend buying as 220 .... likely from Europe. Am sure they make them in 220 as well but the one I bought in Amazon is 110
