What you need to realize when purchasing it is that you need to have the TF smaller SD card for putting into this (can buy one for cheap around $8-10) and possibly you may need to buy a car charger for this device unless you plan to plug it into your fuse box or battery. Getting this connected and set-up to plug into your fuse box or battery would provide permanent power for continuous monitoring. It all depends on what you plan to use this device for and what you need it to do. There is also an app you can download and use to connect wireless with this device for monitoring what is going on when you are away from your vehicle. I would recommend the product, just keep in mind you need to be flexible and plan what you will use it for and what type of connection you will need to hook everything up in your vehicle.

The picture quality isn't that bad for a fisheye lens. It would be quite hard to make out a license plate or something like that from this type of lens. However the ability to have a 360° view and the camera splitting the video into 2 separate views on the recording makes it much easier to make out what's what. For example, seeing in front of a vehicle, and seeing inside the vehicle at the same time. Would be perfect for ride sharing drivers in order to protect themselves.I like that the camera also came with a hard wire kit and it has mini atx ends w/fuses so you just need to find a 12v+ battery fuse and a 12v ignition controlled wire and then just secure the ground wire.Camera can also run on USB power from a mini USB cable so you can pull the camera out of the vehicle, bring it inside and plug into your computer with the USB (although I have yet to figure out to put the camera into mass storage mode so I can pull files directly off the camera. Manual doesn't mention it and so far I've only done it a few times by accident) and also has a mini HDMI port to connect directly to a TV or Monitor.

UPDATE: May 17th, 2019The camera officially froze and stopped working. Despite the hard reset on the camera and restarting my car, the dash cam is forever stuck on "please tilt the lens" page. I have contacted the merchant and they have sent a replacement but my confidence in the company has drastically declined. It cost $110 to install this camera, which I am sure will cost me another limb to install the replacement.(Please see above for updated review)The product was easy to install from my mechanic, however, it is extremely difficult to navigate and set. The button placement is inefficient since I almost always press the menu button instead of the OK button. With that said, the camera tilt function is great, it will default to park mode if the car is off. It will prompt a message to tilt the camera down for park mode. There is also a wifi feature, which is amazing when it does work. Press and hold the down button to connect to the wifi. You'll be able to view the dash cam from the phone and view saved files but only when you're in the car. There is a glitch in the system, which I have not figured out how to fix. When you connect the cam to the wifi, the entire screen on the cam is a wifi logo and you're unable to return to the display view unless you restart the cam. Although the booklet mentions that there is a feature to access playback saved recording, I have yet to figure it out. The button instructions are also complicated. I cannot access playback or photos when following their instruction. It would be great if this company has a video guide to use this dash cam. Honestly, if it is wasn't hardwire to the car, I would return it.

Easy to set up and use.Images are nice and clear.Night time,not as sharp,but while you can't likely read a license plate at night,it can certainly help you determine if you were not at fault in an accident.Will get another for the other car.
