OAKI Rain Jacket for Kids/Toddlers, Waterproof, Breathable, Lightweight with Hood

This jacket was a GREAT purchase. We live in southeast GA and although it gets pretty cold here, we have no need for a bulky winter jacket. The Oakiwear fleece lined jacket is a perfect match for our lifestyle and location. The fleece keeps my son nice and toasty without adding a lot of weight or bulk to his small frame. The material seems to be of great quality and although we haven't put it through rigorous outdoor testing, I bet it will hold its own against a kid who loves to play in the dirt and get wet.For reference, my son is 5 1/2 years old, 42 lbs and 46" tall. He typically wears a size 5t but I chose to size up in this jacket so he could grow into it. He is wearing this jacket in the 6/7 size and it's perfect. Although it's roomy on him he can still move around and be a kid. The wrists have adjustable velcro so the sleeves don't fall off the hand, and the bottom of the jacket has a pull cord to tighten it around the waist. He can easily get 2-3 years out of this jacket and for the price that is simply amazing.I read up on this company before purchasing and this company was created by a mama of young kids who understands that parents need affordable and durable outdoor clothing options for our youngsters. Judging by the quality of this jacket, I'd say she has it figured out. I will absolutely be buying from them again!

We love the Oaki trail suits and the old versions of the Oaki trail rain jacket. This version no longer has the fabulous velcro at the wrists, so it didn't work for our petite kid.Also, we really liked the old version had a storm flap over the zipper.Wish they had kept those features on this jacket.

I decided to buy the larger size because the smaller size would not have given my son any growing room. It's pretty large, but still wearable. I have never had this happen, but the jacket doesn't seem to get clean when washed. I have to spray treat to get any mud stains off. I have never had to do that with any jacket he had before. I am not sure what contributes to that. I do love that it's waterproof, with only a simple fleece lining, so that it can be layered if needed and could be used for warmer weather if needed as well.

The jacket is lovely. We purchased the two-toned lavender one. The lavender is probably a shade lighter in real life but still very pretty. As stated in the description it is fleece lined so the jacket perfect for Fall/Spring weather as it is thin but lined so it will keep out the cold wind. It appears there is some confusion about the sleeves and whether or not they are adjustable. It appears that all two-toned ones include this feature. The solid colored jackets will not so please be aware. The jacket is exactly like what is shown in the pictures so the buyer will know exactly what to expect. Overall, I think this jacket is going to last for several seasons and will probably be passed on to the younger sister.

My son is almost 5 and this jacket is pretty roomy, but it's not like it's too big and needs to be returned, if that makes sense. It's got plenty of room for him to wear a shirt, thick sweatshirt, light puffy jacket and still be comfortable in this jacket. It's waterproof, has a great bill on the hood to give extra protection over the face and the bright color is perfect.And in case anyone was doing a comparison to the one-piece rain suit this company sells....we have that too and love it. We use that for when our son goes to his nature preschool and is outside in the elements all afternoon. We bought the one-piece in a 6/7 (per other parent's suggestions) and it gives us plenty of room to layer even snow pants underneath!

This is a great jacket! We live in Montana where spring can be pretty cold when it rains, so I love that this has fleece lining for extra warmth (and not just the tiny bit on the upper part of the jacket like Columbia does). This appears to be very well made and durable. My son wears a between a 6 and 7 and the 6/7 jacket fits great with even a little growing room.

Fantastic quality.Update- reordered the next size and the style has totally changed. Returned.

I love everything about this durable, warm and well built rain jacket, especially the price. My 10 year old daughter reports "It kept me cozy all day!" I'm telling all my friends to buy this jacket!!! Or anything from this company. I have a home childcare and told all of my preschool parents to buy the rainpants.
