I bought this because my cat had been ill recently and I needed to monitor her temperature. The unit is compact, and easy to use. The reading is very fast, making it less stressful for my fur baby. It feels sturdy in the hand and it's easy to read the temperature. The reading was accurate - it matched the one that the vet received during an appointment.

I purchased this when I felt like my older thermometers weren't accurate anymore. It definitely registers different temperature (better) than my old ones so that is confirmed. Easy to use and read. A few things tho - it doesn't beep to let you know it's ready to take a temp and the display doesn't show you anything until it registers a temperature. At first I thought it wasn't broken but thats just how it works.

I bought this thermometer a while back and when I went to use it... it wouldn't turn on. I contacted the company via email and was promptly sent another one. Maybe the batteries died, I'm not sure. Customer service was excellent and also funny... 5 STARS... you're my fave person! LOL. Anyway, I started using the thermometer only the other day on my pregnant girl (dog). I also bought the iProven Disposable Probe Covers and these work perfectly together with a little petroleum jelly to get a good temperature reading. I will admit it's not the fastest reading thermometer, however it is so small that it doesn't bother my girl to wait for the beep when it has reached temp and I think it is accurate. I have a larger sized thermometer, but I feel better using this one for her since she's only about 10lbs.

Edited: I received excellent customer service from this seller. After sharing my concerns about the accuracy, they replaced the thermometer and this new one works great. Seems fast and accurate. Original review: My dog is going through cancer treatment, so I need to have a reliable thermometer to monitor that she doesn't get an infection while her white blood cells are decreased. As soon as this arrived, I read the included instructions and tried testing it in heated water against two other thermometers I had on-hand (one being a kitchen thermometer, and the other being a human thermometer). This pet thermometer was about 2 degrees F less than the other two, making it unreliable for my needs. I repeated the test about 4 times over the course of an hour, and the results were always off.

Takes too long to power up and give a reading, not sure how accurate it is. Reason I say takes too long is gotta really wrestle your pup and hope they sit still for at least 20secs, and hope they don’t move.

Unsere Sorge war aber völlig unbegründet. Mit etwas Ruhe und Streicheln hat alles erstaunlich entspannt funktioniert. Das Thermometer lässt sich gut anwenden, misst zuverlässig und ist dabei angenehm schnell, was gerade bei Tieren ein großer Vorteil ist. Die Handhabung ist unkompliziert und das Gerät macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Für uns war es eine echte Erleichterung in einer ohnehin stressigen Situation. Klare 5 Sterne – absolute Empfehlung für Tierhalter!
