This is a very average USB 3.0 flash memory drive. It's no quicker/slower than any others and certainly is not proper USB 3.1 (the trend now seems to be naming them all USB 3.1, but either Gen 1 or Gen 2). My MacBook Pro Touchbar does not even recognise the drive when I insert it using the USB-C connector; even though the connector is as far out as it goes, using the slider, it doesn't appear that it is far enough out to go into the slot properly. As such, I have reverted to using the USB 3 connector with an adaptor, which rather defeats the object. Using that, it works okay. It's decent value for money and does the job.

I bought this for use with my OnePlus Three smartphone and Windows computer, it's excellent for transferring recordings from my phone to free up more space for extra recordings (using File Transfer apps like 'File Manager' by Asus) when I'm not with my PC. When I get home I can really quickly copy the files off the USB stick.I tested the read/write speeds of this USB stick and it's FAST, the read speeds are around 132MB/s and the write speeds around 25MB/s which makes it really quick to copy even large files. A 1GB recording only takes around 8 seconds to copy from the USB stick to my computer, saving loads of time. I also ran a h2testw validity test on the storage and I can confirm that all 16GB of storage is present.The USB stick has a mechanism allowing you to expose either the USB 3.0 port or the USB-C 3.1 port, or neither for when not copying files.Overall I think this USB stick provides amazing value for money considering its modern USB-C 3.1 plug, USB 3.0 plug and its quick speeds. You can buy 16GB USB sticks for cheaper, but generally, these are slow and not USB-3, or only have USB-C OR USB 3.0, not both.

I thought this would let me move files from my old MacBook Pro to my new one (which only has USB-C ports) but this device does NOT work with USB-C ports on Apple Macintosh computers so if you are buying it for this purpose do not buy this.

I had experienced the dual USB flash drive (2.0) on my old phone, it worked perfect. However; I have recently bought a new Samsung galaxy NOTE 8 with the Type-C format plug-in drive. Since my old dual USB flash drive can not be able to use on this new phone, to meet my needs, I must buy a new one to support this Type-C format. I was very excited when I first got it out from the packaging, the packaging itself looks rather sleek, however; I was really disappointed that this doesn't fit to my phone, it won't goes in at all, I'd tried many times, from one side to the other, I even looked into both drives, have noticed the original Samsung Note 8 plugin has 4 pins but the OSCOO only has 3 pins (they might not even called the pins but I can only describe like this), I have also try pushing a little bit harder to see whether it would goes in, the answer is NO, it won't, I might have already damaged my new phone. At the start; by comparing to others, the price for this was quite reasonable and it stating Type-C, I am now really baffled and curious that why there is a difference in Type-C (apart from 3.0 or 3.1 and so on)? is there many different types of Type-C ?? I just have to return this and I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this for the Samsung Note 8.

Very handy device, and came as expected.With type-c being used more commonly, this Memory Stick is a great benifit to my on-site consultant work role and gave me compatabilty with next gen devices. USB 3.0 has also been great for the fast deployment of Microsoft Azure's new AutoPilot feature. We was able to rebuild 30 different devices within a 3 hour period!The Key chain hook is also a nice feature to allow the easy access from your Keys.

This is a very well designed product - switch mechanism between standard / mini USBs very nicely placed. I have two flash drives at present - I use this one for transfer of video and other big files, the speed is about 4 x that of my other flash drive. I did well to choose this particular item!

When I came to use it on my Samsung Galaxy S8, the connection was too short. If I really pressed it in continually, it flicked in and out of making a connection. As soon as I let go it disconnected. Other Type C flash drives did work fine on the phone.
