Some years ago, I bought a Sentry fire-proof filing cabinet. When I recently needed another I found out that they apparently don't make them anymore. To get the same amount of storage, I'd have to buy a pretty big safe. I don't want some massive safe.The thing I like about these bags is that I think I can get the same safe storage option from a regular old metal filing cabinets into which I put these bags. Mine don't, but many filing cabinets have locks too.Anyway, I bought three of these bags. They seems well made and I assume they will do the job I need them to do. Especially with regards to fire protection. I hope I never know - which makes it ultimately a bit difficult to review this product. Nonetheless, they have solved a problem at which I wasn't looking forward to throwing much larger amounts of money.

Of course, this just delivered and we have yet to have a fire (knock on unburnt wood) to test it out. But it appears to be fireworthy (I bought a second, smaller fireproof bag to put inside it, belt and suspenders thinking) and looks to me to be well made. It is smaller and more convenient than a big box, can be folded over (we have the usual smaller documents, mostly ID and cards) and allows us to put it in more discreet places (hopefully more out of flame's way as well).

I keep a case of critical documents and computer files ready to grab and run in case of fire or similar emergency. This fireproof bag is a substantial improvement on the leather briefcase I've used for several years, being not only more resistant to fire and water, but also lighter and more roomy. I can fit not only documents, but (time permitting) my laptop inside.

Perfect size for pocket file folders holding documents for each family member, with room to spare. Very pleased with the sturdy construction, zipper and velcro fasteners. Just a little peace of mind, knowing that it's fire and water resistant. It was also a great time to consolidate important paperwork that was scattered around the house. Also since the bag is stored on its side, it looks "discreet".

I bought this bag to put a folder of specific size into. The bag interior is the correct size but the design of zipper does not go all the way across the top. This cause my folder to be very difficult to get in and out of the bag. Other than that the bag is good quality. The seller has excellent customer service.

I am very happy with this product. The original item I ordered arrived with no zipper so I initiated a return and ordered 2 of the bigger cases instead. I was refunded my money but just so anyone reading this knows the original I had sent to my mothers was packed and ready but still sitting by the front door of my parents residence, it was requested to be returned via UPS P/U as they are unable to get out to return it however, it has never been picked up by UPS and is going on almost two months. Otherwise, I am very happy with this product and believe in it entirely as a retired Firefighter for storage of our most important documents.

I have not set it on fire to test its "fireproofness" lol 🤞it will work when needed!

The fire vault was much better than I had anticipated. Well thought out and constructed. I also purchased a cheaper one at the same time. The workmanship and materials used were of much lesser quality. The only closure on it is Velcro. If it was actually introduced into a fire impingement or high heat environment the Velcro would fail leaving the documents exposed to the hazards. For a little extra money the fire vault is definitely the way to go! Unfortunately I purchase the fire vault for my son and the lesser quality one for myself. I will be returning it and purchasing another fire vault.
