Easy and beautiful paint to work with
This paint is so easy to work with! I put it in a sprayer to refinish some chairs and it was so easy to apply. I’ve used chalk paint in the past and this is way better in my opinion. This has a glossier finish than chalk paint. We use the dining chairs that I painted every day for dinner with our three very young children so they get some rough use. I painted them about 4 months ago and they are holding up great. They clean up easily and I haven’t had any issues with chipping. The only thing is that if the chairs get pushed against the table, it will ding the finish on the Chairs. This paint is pretty awesome!

Great for furniture!
I've used chalk paint on furniture for quite a few years now, but when it came to updating my guest room furniture, I decided to give this a try. I'm so glad I did. The furniture turned out beautifully. Very few brush strokes too. The paint was a breeze to work with. I did top coat the dressing table surface and also the bedside tables just for extra durability, and the bedroom set looks great. I'd definitely repurchase, and I've recommended it to a friend, too.

This was my first time using General Finishes Milk Paint - although not my first time using any of their products. I was slightly skeptical as I have been a fan of chalk paint in the past but this Milk Paint is great. It is very thick out of the can which isn't necessarily a bad thing because it dries evenly and covers better than other thinner paints. The Lamp Black color is BEAUTIFUL and a totally matte black which is exactly what I was hoping for it to be. I applied it with a wooster angled brush that I had laying around and it worked perfectly. I used General Finishes Flat Out Flat top coat over top of the Milk Paint and it is beautiful. Tested it out on a bench I built for my bedroom and will be using it for all of the remainder of the bedroom furniture I am building. Will buy again

Excellent Chalk Paint
This is by far the easiest chalk paint I’ve worked with. Doesn’t dry super fast.

Best paint I’ve used thus far. Well worth the money!!
Ok…So, I was very skeptical because this small can of paint was $50. I’m so happy I went with my gut feeling. Although, the can is small it packs a powerful punch.. you don’t need a lot because the coverage is superb. My nightstand was cherry wood and I turned it into a unique piece thanks to this paint. FYI.. I didn’t even prime first. I lightly sanded and cleaned with a paint cleaner and it turned out Lovely.. well at least to me it did.

Easy to use and produces a nice finish
I painted 6 kitchen chairs with this paint. What I love about these milk paints is they apply and level nicely. I have learned from past experience, that this paint has a slightly chalky feel to it when it first dries. However in time the paint seems to cure and it develops a nice smooth (satiny) finish. It may take a few months (possibly related to the temp/humidity) but it will happen and the finish will be smooth and durable. Very happy with this product. Will buy again.

Very forgiving paint!
This is my first experience using either Milk Paint or a paint sprayer (Wagner Home decor spray gun), and I was very pleased with how my project turned out. I also did some test painting with a brush on some scrap wood. I thinned the paint slightly with water and had no brush strokes that showed on the finished product, and the spray finish was equally flawless. After spraying I was concerned with a couple of splatters, but when the paint dried they leveled out and disappeared. I can't comment on the durability yet, but this was great to work with and yields nice results.

No noticeable smell, great coverage and beautiful results.
I do a ton of DIY projects and General Finishes is the best of the best. They sell this in high-end woodworking shops and for good reason. The Lamp Black milk paint has been on "to use list" for quite some time. There are plenty more milk paint products out there, but I don't know if any of them are easier to use than this. I normally scoop this up at my local woodworking shop, but I needed this for table legs and the top of some cabinets for my home office. I found it here on Amazon for much cheaper than buying several smaller containers. I can't recommend this milk paint enough. The images I've included show the General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint topped with the High Performance Water-based Overcoat in Satin. This is just another quality product rom General Finishes.
